Despite the defeat its an improvement .A clear indication that the team can keep a clean sheet away from home for 90 minutes...just need to stretch that to 100 minutes and they will be fine. The key thing when defending so much is that when an attack does come your way you have to make the very best of it. So players have to be clinical in front of goal. If they play that way every away game from now on against the lesser teams they will get that goal to win the game.

Watched online. Simply not good enough today, Adam Smith worries me constantly running off his line. Fair play to DC changing tactics and playing out for the draw nearly came off but we needed more counter attacks. Maybe a change from 4-3-3 might help as well? I would stick with this CB pairing for another game. Oh the joys of following the Gas! Thought we did ok myself. Granted, not a lot going forward but we couldn't afford to be open today and ship another 3+ goals. Tactics so nearly paid off. Another defeat but an improvement in terms of effort and defending as a unit. Agree we should run with these CBs for the next match. Fully agree, if we held out for a draw all the negativity would have gone tonight, now posters like SteveK will be questioning why DC set us so deep, when for weeks that what we've been calling for him to so. I feel DC now needs to show some b@lls and stick with Rollin and TB next week as they didn't really put a foot wrong today. He should also drop OC as we hardly missed him as well. In fact just start the same starting 11 unless BB returns.

Tom has probably been at fault for more goals than Ellis has scored this season.

did his best ~ good cause ~ not worth mentioning really Depends how you look at it. If you consider just a bit of pantomime fair enough. If you consider it a moment to honour fallen soldiers it falls short. How do you know it was his best? so in front of a few thousand people he did his worst ? Think about it

To be fair, Broadbent let their guy through for no reason who could have easily scored, then he got in Smith's way for a back-header which could have easily gone in. Menayese had two or three incidents where he and Smith completely miscommunicated. It's not like they were rock-solid until the last minute. With young / inexperience at this level, there are going to be inconsistencies. We haven't got the squad we / or perhaps DC would like - he just stated in his post match that Broadbent & Menayese are on £700pw between them, so I wouldn't expect them to put in a flawless performance especially with the pressure they were under today.

You got too be able to do it week in and week out and remember we lost 1-0 no points 4 defeats on the trott not good enough from the tea lady to wael.

And to be able to do it week in, week out you need experience which comes with game time. DC should give those two a go for a run of games and send Sweeney back to Stoke and plant Lockyer on the bench.

I don't think so we would be saying more of the same away from home Wandering around the town trying to find somewhere to get a meal.god this is a terrible place to live.need a good hot curry to thaw out my old bones. Retrospectively there were a good number of positives to come out of today's game My only concern is the goalkeeper. Think of us having a 3 hour drive home after a hot curry

Well said DC - I really liked the fact you got us back to back promotions & I believe you know best - better than any of us on this forum, from what I've read.

We lost 1-0 have a good battling performance, if you can't take some comfort from that then you probably need to find a different club to support, I hear Sky are doing some decent offers if you just want to watch the likes of Man C winning every week. It's spells like this that sort the glory seekers out from the genuine Gasheads.

Did he actually say that? 1.) I’m surprised DC would disclose that (especially that specifically), and 2.) That is a ridiculously low figure for this level of football. I suppose Broadbent-£500pw and Menayese-£200pw is perhaps plausible, but still incredibly low. If so, well done DC for picking up some absolute bargains!

In the game till the last few minutes. Usually we are out of it after the first few. It won't always work but I'd rather we try to keep it tight and lose 1-0 than get embarrassed. Hope the players ain't happy losing 1-0 like you Where does it say "happy" in my post?

Although they conceded at the death today I would like to see more of the Rollin/Broadbent partnership.
Smith was a worry for me today. Rushing out and causing confusion with his CBs, but I suppose that comes with playing with the same players week in week out.
