Can't argue with that. DC seems to have lost his mojo at the momo. sounds very determined to put it right - listen to pre-match interview. He's not going to sound full of beans after a 93 rd minute winner, is he ? He and the team nearly took one small step in the right direction today - frustrating. I agree with you. I said a few posts back "I thought DC had it oh so nearly right today. He had to avoid the humiliation of another thumping. It's not his natural style to make us play so deep, but it worked until the 94th minute." But he sounds a bit weary and tired. I don't think he'll stay that way. It's just a bit frustrating at the moment for him.

As an iron fan (yeah annoying coming on opponents forum and spouting off), you came determined to get a point. You put the whole team behind the ball and defended deep. You time wasted, at times a bit too obviously (like walking away when the ball boy gives you the ball back), which added time at the end. Any team on a losing streak would do the same (we would); its part of the game. I will be honest we deserved it, but your players desperately wanted to keep a clean sheet. Look at the number of blocks they put in; and see how dejected (laid out and gutted) they were when we scored. Your players were playing for their team and manager hence their visable disappointment at the end. The only down note for me and several iron fans was the disrespectful attitude of your No 3 during the remembrance silence and service. Yes the bugler suffered nerves but he was showing his respect - the attitude of your NO 3 was unacceptable. Good luck for rest of season

He did say £700 between them but shouldn't talk about players wages on live radio very unprofessional from DC I think after he wished he never said it. Was it their wages? He didn't really say, I thought £700 was the fee to bring them both in. Sure he'd said £700 a week just listened to the interview with DC again and he said cost me £700 quid not a week to be fair so I apologise for my mistake above.

Padstow. If you read my post I actually came on to say exactly what you said 'but it was one that was full of determination and effort that has been lacking in the last couple of months'. Obviously I haven't seen you play for the last couple of months but what I was saying was there was effort and determination there for all to see. As for the organisation of the minutes silence yes I am sure the bugler would wish he had done better and the announcer made clearer what was going to happen - if your point is defending your No. 3 then I stand by my comments that he should have shown a level of respect deserving to those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Dreadful patronising posting from a gloating opposition fan who registered on our forum just to post that rubbish. Bore off!

He said Broadbent was on a pittance & Rollin was on peanuts too - hence why I took that as wages. He has mentioned several times in interviews that those in development squad are paid peanuts & think he has given a figure of £150 before?

To be fair, Broadbent let their guy through for no reason who could have easily scored, then he got in Smith's way for a back-header which could have easily gone in. Menayese had two or three incidents where he and Smith completely miscommunicated. It's not like they were rock-solid until the last minute. We weren't rock solid, you're quite right, Broadbent was to blame when they nearly got in, but other than that I think it appeared to be Smith who was the reason for the errors, and as the senior player he really should of been taking the lead. I'd like to see DC put out a settled side,I'd stick with what we had today, although I'd prefer Slocombe between the sticks.

The players are on their arse confidence wise, DC is visibly struggling, he just needs to get the team through to the transfer window and hopefully WAQ, or his dad, will stick some money in the club to bring in a bit of quality.

Whilst the result wasn't what we all wanted I still think we took a step in the right direction, particularly when we had at least four 1st teamers missing. You accused me of being a happy clapper when I said something very similar only an hour ago ?!!! But yeah I agree with you anyway. We were basically 30 seconds away from getting a very good point. I was talking about the don't worry we'll win next week comment, after we'd just lost to a 94 minute goal. Anyway 12 hours later I've now got over that!

Rollin a 18(?) yr kid trying to warn a proper pro contract would probably be happy on £300/£15K p.a., likewise TB with his first pro contact probably happy on £400/£20K p.a. On that basis £700 sounds about right? How many of us would have turned down similar offers in the past given the chance they've both been given. Surprisingly candid interview by DC as we even got an injury update on Bodin.

Terrible defending for the goal. Brown in enough space to let the ball drop and smash it up the pitch. Instead, a poor defensive header resulting in the ball coming straight back.
Poor decision making and communication from the rest of the defence.
