The sense of injustice you feel when you support a challenging team compares like nothing to this.... After 3 good seasons I've forgotten how rotten these outcomes feel

Well done Ellis, great goal and well taken. For the pen it looks a little bit harsh but Lockyer should've got his head on that ball in, not a good challenge for the ball which enables a simple header.

I can see why the ref gave the pen, it was clumsy from Clarke, but it wasn't a pen. He got the ball clearly and the clash saw Samuel fall over. The ball went backwards indicating a clean tackle.
The disallowed goal...well, thats just shocking officiating and i hope the club reports all the officials today.
It certainly cost us at least a point.

Sorry, but how is that a pen when OC wins the ball, I doubt they'll be a soft one given all season in Div 1. Not sure why DC was ranting about players switching off as that seems harsh on them from that clip. Because DC has lost the plot and very soon will loose his job..... I hope and pray our owners don't do the silly thing and sack him..... so you want him to stay or go? First sentence is slagging him off and the second defending him Make your mind up

I guess it will be in DC's assessment report but these clowns are in a "closed shop". They just mix them up a bit each week and carry on. Nothing will happen. I know we can all make mistakes but the standards at this level are consistently low and variable. Wasn't there and not seen any coverage of it. What I don't understand with this one is the time lapse from event to final decision. What caused the ref to change his mind? Surely if the lino thought it was "off" his flag would have been up straight away not some 30 secs later. Did he not see it? Anyway ain't going to change anything but I do despair at the inconsistency we see in these officials from one week to the next.

DC's cautious approach nearly worked at Scunthorpe and it nearly worked at Blackburn.
I realise 'nearly worked' doesn't get any points, but the hammerings away from home have stopped, so that's progress of a sort.
Just trying to look for positives,

I'm absolutely gutted after today, at 1-0 thought we'd hold out for a draw at the very least, it's so important we all get behind DC and the lads over the next 2 games!

Played well today. Unfortunate to lose to a good side.
Why can’t we play like we did against Scunthorpe and Blackburn against the sh** teams?
Think a win isn’t too far away but need to show up against the lesser teams.

Sheffield United drawing today means that we are the only side in the top 5 divisions who haven't drawn this season, in fact we haven't drawn since February. Has a club ever gone a full calendar year without getting a single draw?

DC's interview.
I don't know if the gloomy lighting was accidental or staged.

Just back and buzzing, we was robbed, played well, Ellis was tremendous. Chins up and move on. DC will turn it around. Time for Hani to find the money required to bring in 3 or 4 during the window.

Has a club ever gone a full calendar year without getting a single draw? Forest haven't drawn either 😉 Still a crazy stat. I think it's something like 37 games since we drew and that run began after 6 consecutive draws in February.

Just got home. We should never have lost that game. We were the better team for long periods. But why couldn't we hold onto our deserved lead for more than 3 mins? Very frustrating. However, I have to say that I haven't seen them play better than that as a team away from home for a very long time (I didn't go to the Northampton game). Certainly makes a difference having Bodin back in the team and I thought Partington's performance was superior to what Lines has produced for a number of games so hopefully DC will give him a proper run of games.

Are we just ignoring the fact Blackburn were denied a blatant pen (and probable red card) before we scored? Which one? Think they should have had 3, yet the one they got wasn’t one! Positives though today, we looked good again, Bodin should have scored, disallowed blatant goal, their Keeper pulled off some good saves! Play like that with a couple of additions and we’ll be fine, just got to get behind the team and DC now! Big month coming up!

Did the ref give the penalty on a totting up process like persistent fouling leads to yellow card? Or did he just fold under pressure from the home crowd? f**k knows what went on with the disallowed goal though! Disappointing result but encouraging signs, amazing support by the way well done to all the gasheads that went.

It was a good performance yesterday but next Saturday should be more telling. Blackburn had a tough game midweek and in some ways yesterday's game was a free pass for DC and the lads. No one expected a win so they could play with more freedom and less fear. Next week is different - Rotherham are very beatable - so the pressure will be back on.

Certainly makes a difference having Bodin back in the team and I thought Partington's performance was superior to what Lines has produced for a number of games so hopefully DC will give him a proper run of games. Partington certainly made a difference in deep midfield. Sinclair was more focused on his part of the pitch too rather than playing headless chickens and leaving gaps. That defensive line-up looked more solid than what we've had so far, and they played the ball out rather than hoof it like they did at Scunthorpe. We lost a bit of composure when Sweeney went off. Broadbent is still raw and lacks composure. The jury's still out on Nichols. He's a neat footballer but lacks pace and killer instinct. That sitter he headed wide of an open goal near the end could have been the turning point of the season for him and us.
