So rumours of our demise were greatly exagerated with players and manager alike affected by all the off field sh**. Great win Gas Talk about bipolar lol. There’s a long way to go yet though I am certainly hoping for the best and trying to avoid the rumours but it’s bloody hard

Great performance today and if not for their keeper we could/should have scored five or six easily. Southend had a good period last twenty mins of the first half but that aside we totally dominated. Midfield looked so much stronger without linsey & ollie clark,DC has to keep this line up now. Sign up their keeper, although their defence badly let him down. Thank goodness

Does anyone know where our goal scorer totals can be found as it is not available on the Club site?

That's as good a performance as I've seen this season, better side 1st half & completely dominated the 2nd. We definitely look a lot more solid with Partington sat in front of the back 4. Hard to pick anyone out as there wasn't one player you could criticise today. Hopefully bad run well & truly behind us now. Onwards and upwards

Most enjoyable game, the best team performance for some time with some quality moves, when Ellis had his header saved, one of many very good saves, i thought it was a great move and would have been some goal. Come on you blues onwards and upwards. UTG

Thoroughly enjoyed the game today, we were solid as you like, this was more like the Bristol Rovers we know and love.
Apart from one or two balls that came in our box it never felt like we were in danger.
Partington is making one hell of a difference to the team in the position he is playing. You can see him shouting and organising the team from the centre of the pitch, geeing them up and encouraging all the players, basically he is our de facto captain.
Long may this continue!
UTG!

Just got back home, WOW what a performance that was! Best I’ve seen for a long time, if it hadn’t been for their goalie making 3 or 4 outstanding saves it could have been another cobblers! Well done DC and the boys excellent, now keep it going. I have something to say; It’s better to burn out than fade away! Oh and DC out. UTG

Fair play to DC putting partington in front of the back four, it works well and he plays that role very well. He looks like a good communicator and great leader.

UTG Was that the move where Lockyer won the ball on the edge of our area, nutmeged their forward , skipped past another challenge , sprinted past another , beat another down the line and crossed it in for him ? That did really happen didn’t it ? Or did I dream it ? UTG

Phil Brown:
"It's going to be a difficult month until the transfer window, if I do get to the transfer window. The way the players performed today it didn't look like they were playing for me. You can smell these things."
"If you look at my history everyone of my teams plays committed football but today there was no commitment. I hope I'm still here talking in seven days."

At last, the same defensive set up from last time, and we play the opposition off the park, as we were confident enough to attack without jitters about what was happening at the back.
If possible, I would make DC mom, because even if belatedly, he has kept the defence together, and that can only be a good thing. Partington superb in his new role, ( should be captain), and Sincs hounding anyone and everyone with the ball.
In truth the whole side played well, and as others have said, if it hadn't been for their keeper, this could quite easily have been another Northampton.

Fantastic performance. Have to feel sorry for the Southend goalkeeper whose goals conceded far exceeds the game he played today, and that’s testament to the game we played. We simply did not look like a side who have just come out of a run representing relegation form. I’m excited where we could be going into 2018 despite the big gulf in points as of today. It’s quite right up there though so if we could close the gap then things could look very rosy. Liam sercombe is looking a fantastic signing and anyone who challenges DCs recruitment ability need look no further. Ellis Harrison. Most of us would have chopped him even as recent as three months ago but he is now just as important to our team as billy Bodin. Come on. Sercombe and snake are two who have been good and served us well but it’s stretching it to say look no further at his recruitment. Believe me, I am using kind words as I don’t want to kill a 3-0win buzz
