Out of interest, was there any mention of this at the AGM?
Wonder what now for Hamer? Can't imagine a business which turns over aprox 5-6 million needs a chairman and a chief ecec?!

You couldn't make it up. So let's think, £100k+ CEO, £100k legal bills,£250k for a London office, chairman £100k. Bet Steve Hamer won't be pleased about this. He was appointed by Mike Turner without SH even knowing about it apparently. So just why does Turner carry so much power without even owning a share?
HOWS THE BUDGET DARRELL?

Could be a case of too many chiefs. You may have a ceo and a chairman at larger clubs but not so much at lower league.
We don’t have other directors of youth, commercial and stadium so it could be an all encompassing title.

I'm not sure that it will shut the pessimists up knowall...
I'm a bit torn with this one. On the one hand it's great that the owners seem to want to spend the money - hopefully an indication that they are keen to stay and get a job done. On the other hand we seem pretty top heavy now and off the bat Martyn's previous experience doesn't exactly blow me away. But hey, if Wael is trying to set us up for proper growth as a club by putting together a proper corporate structure then I am all for it. Just hope we don't end up with a whole lot of chiefs and not enough indians.
And I wonder how Wael knows him? The article suggests they have known each other for a long time and if Martyn has been working exclusively in the west country it just seems a bit weird!

Will need a new stand to accomodate all our staff at this rate ! Bet Hamer is on the phone to the local scaffolding company trying to get a new tier to the South Stand sorted.

He's got a bit of competition because according to PASOTI Martyn Starnes arranged some temporary seating at Home Park at one point! Hamer vs Starnes. It's going to be a TENT OFF!

The way i see it is that this new bloke has been appointed to oversea the £60m stadium/Arena development leaving SH to look after the club Or maybe the Americans insisted on it before they put $100m into the club

I see your point Peter but it's going to be very hard to increase turnover enough to offset this new salary whilst we are based in our current stadium. If we get a new stadium of course that all changes. So hopefully we get some good news on that front soon because that's kind of the elephant in the room at the moment.

We need a new/or redeveloped stadium that will generate money. No argument there.
I just find the swipes at the board by some tiresome as LJG said (I think) the other day, there are windows more transparent then them.
Everyone including the Al-Qadi's know we need a more modern ground and facilities, so this is either a sign that they have plans and ideas for the future of the club or manoeuvres to sell it, so some people should let them get on with whichever one of those it is, because there isn't another viable explanation, because they aren't spending the money to do nothing

The other Argyle forum seems much more balanced. A few who have had dealings with him are quite complimentary. I wouldn’t read too much into negativity on forums...
