Sounds like Wael new about it, he said he has know him for years, so more than likely had a say in it. Don't think that money has any impact on the playing budget. Fans moan for ages we don't spend any money, now fans agree moaning that we are spending money. Thought Hani makes the decisions and does not do anything, unless it makes money??? Didn't say it impacted on the playing budget. But if the family want to spend £500k, I'd rather they spent it on the team. And as severncider said earlier, the staff who are fully fledged gasheads, haven't had a pay rise for two years. We've even called off the trip to Sabadell this close season because we can't afford the cost. It was called off 3 weeks ago but nothing official from the club yet. Genuine question, was a Sabdell trip ever announced?

That really is a very worrying set of references from the Argyle fans...does not sound good to me. From a Yeovil fan on the other forum: "Have worked with Martyn in the past when we were both at Yeovil Town. Not the sort of guy to shoot his mouth off, just a quiet efficient bloke who loves his football. Had one arm tied behind his back at Huish Park with the (lack of) budget there so will be interesting to see him in a role where he has a little more leeway. Think he might still live somewhere near Yeovil so commuting not as much of a problem (though having done the opposite journey now for nearly twenty years), it's a howler of a road to travel on each day!! TL:DR He's a good bloke, I'd have him back like a shot." Excellent...much more encouraging, thanks for sharing.

If as you claim, you did not say it impacted on the playing budget then what exactly did you mean when you wrote "HOWS THE BUDGET DARRELL"? Because I'm sure the weaker minded among us like myself would have assumed you were suggesting that the cost of the CEO will effect DCs budget.

I didn't want to suggest that Gasincider would post something inflammatory and incorrect and then backtrack later when it was proven to be incorrect because I now know he would never do that. Last time I mistakenly suggested he would and I had someone go on and on about it for pages until I ended up banning myself for attacking him. Thank goodness I avoided that this time.

Gotta be honest I find it hard to get at all excited about a the new ceo, or when the new commercial manager came along or even the potential training ground being built. It’s all about the ground and the team . The rest is guff.

Surprised if this was a planned appointment that the news article on the main didn't detail his responsibilities and SHs responsibilities. Easy thing if there is a plan behind the appointment

I’m trying my best not interact with every negative post that you scribe but sometimes the bait is too big and delicious. As far as I’m aware there has been no mention of a sabadell trip- therefore nothing has been called off? We went to Portugal last year- so it not a given at all. Even before that the trips were irregular. You just criticise every decision the board make. It’s ludicrous. If we were buying a player, you’d be moaning about a stadium. If we bought a player, it would be the staff wages. If we increased wages, it would be the grass. If we improved the pitch, it would be the blue sky. This is more investment from a board, continuously proving they are keen to go build a bright future. Time to get over the UWE, mate.

Would like to add:
Anyone who can’t get excited about this is completely normal. My above post is not suggestion that we should be doing cartwheels but it completely flummoxes me that the board would be due criticism over this.

If they are that loyal they would stop moaning about it and ask for one, what a load of bitchy people and you call them loyal

My above post is not suggestion that we should be doing cartwheels but it completely flummoxes me that the board would be due criticism over this. I think the concern is how we can pay for all these senior employees when we're already losing £2m/3m p.a. and SH's admitted we only have a bottom 8 playing budget, as that's a Chairman, CEO, Marketing Dir, Develop Squad manager, Head of Academy, plus two guys in an office in London all employed over and above what NH use to employ. Wael seems to be setting us up to run like a Championship club whilst we're still based in a ground only fit for Div 2, with little signs that's going to change anytime soon.

I honestly, honestly wouldn't be surprised if Gasincider is a "Flat Earther". He's so utterly obsessed with needing to "know" things that others don't it's making this forum almost unbearable. Cringeworthy isn't the word.
For starters, having a username that in itself suggests that you are party to information that others are not is sad enough.
Don't get me wrong, I don't doubt that perhaps he once did. However, it's clear now that a lot of information stays "in-house"; there are far fewer leaks. It comes across that this really winds Gas "incider" up and he can't help but throw regular tantrums and troll others.
I would put my mortgage on him being a "Flat Earther" and someone who loves conspiracy theories as it would give him the ability to feel he "knows something" that others don't.
