Out with the Stadium Manager and in with the new CEO. Same money £150K a year. Two major projects in building the new stadium and training ground all whilst moving from evolution to the promised land. Hamer is 66 years old so his retirement party in 4 years time will include on his CV Bristol Rovers EVOLVED.

You couldn't make it up. So let's think, £100k+ CEO, £100k legal bills,£250k for a London office, chairman £100k. Bet Steve Hamer won't be pleased about this. He was appointed by Mike Turner without SH even knowing about it apparently. So just why does Turner carry so much power without even owning a share? HOWS THE BUDGET DARRELL? Sounds like Wael new about it, he said he has know him for years, so more than likely had a say in it. Don't think that money has any impact on the playing budget. Fans moan for ages we don't spend any money, now fans agree moaning that we are spending money. Thought Hani makes the decisions and does not do anything, unless it makes money???

ATD is the dissenters anti Brent ( Argyle Chairman ) forum...so I wouldn't pay much heed. If you read the thread it soon descends into name calling of their rival who runs the Pasoti site Overall the view is a decent guy but not a miracle worker.....there are some areas of the club which haven't improved as much as they should ( ticketing etc) But He joined us as a CEO when we made losses and now we make profits and are a division higher..... I wish him luck , but I wonder what he though after 86 minutes on Saturday! Thanks for passing on this view...gives the thread some balance.

The new guy is only 3 or so of years younger than Hamer and Hamer may still stay on if only on a part-time basis?

Playing budget is dictated by turnover, these guys are here to increase it
but then again you knew that.
Sorry for trolling
I see your point Peter but it's going to be very hard to increase turnover enough to offset this new salary whilst we are based in our current stadium. If we get a new stadium of course that all changes. So hopefully we get some good news on that front soon because that's kind of the elephant in the room at the moment. And perhaps that's exactly why you appoint a CEO? To deliver the objectives? Leaving the chairman to do as he should, represent all stakeholder / shareholders. It's a classic organisational structure. I really don't understand the negative comments....

This has been on the cards for some time - and you are completely wrong (as usual) - why do you continually make things up? Steve Hamer is MD and this is all part of the Club's evolution. And the expense you refer to is obviously now coming out of the Al-Qadi purse. Our football Club is becoming more professional and we should be pleased about that, but for some reason, some on this forum have an anti-Rovers agenda. You don't have to look far to see how professionalism is helping another local football club!! Pretty sure he's the Chairman? When does an evolution become a revolution?

P When does an evolution become a revolution? When you put an R in front of it? Evolution is a steady adaptation to changing circumstances, revolution just sends us round and round in circles.

Quickest way to increase DC's budget is to get rid of the above and hand it to DC. Half a million would help us get a big strong striker. But then you knew that. I'll ask in Haiku You said there is no money Have you changed your tune?

Didn't say it impacted on the playing budget. But if the family want to spend £500k, I'd rather they spent it on the team. And as severncider said earlier, the staff who are fully fledged gasheads, haven't had a pay rise for two years. We've even called off the trip to Sabadell this close season because we can't afford the cost. It was called off 3 weeks ago but nothing official from the club yet.

That really is a very worrying set of references from the Argyle fans...does not sound good to me. From a Yeovil fan on the other forum: "Have worked with Martyn in the past when we were both at Yeovil Town. Not the sort of guy to shoot his mouth off, just a quiet efficient bloke who loves his football. Had one arm tied behind his back at Huish Park with the (lack of) budget there so will be interesting to see him in a role where he has a little more leeway. Think he might still live somewhere near Yeovil so commuting not as much of a problem (though having done the opposite journey now for nearly twenty years), it's a howler of a road to travel on each day!! TL:DR He's a good bloke, I'd have him back like a shot."

I’m afraid you can’t have it both ways before Xmas you claimed a third party had to pay the players wages, now you are complaining about this CEO, like you we are fans and have to trust Wael that this is for the betterment of the club. There is a bigger picture to this and I think you are frustrated that you are not in the corridors of power?
