Telford not the star we thought he'd be ? Behave , he's hardly had a look in , he could hardly play to his full capability when we were reduced to ten men could he? Daft comment to make I’d start him up front every game left with Harrison to try and build a partnership and offer him a good contract now, yeah I know it’s tapping a player up but a quiet word in his ear about what we could offer him wouldn’t be that bad, tell him if he plays well and scores goals between now and the end of the season the deals on the table. Sign him on a free and hopefully get Nichols out on loan and find a better replacement and we’d be sorted up front I feel. Still need another one maybe two good wide players as we’ve only got one currently and a ball winning midfielder of championship standard likewise a Center half to play alongside Broadbent ( Craig 3 years ago would have been it) Sell Lockyer and have Craig as coach / Center half sub and we’d be ready for play offs next season. Probably harsh on Lockyer and perhaps that’s one statement that’s wrong because I know he’s captain and DC likes him but we would get good money for him and he makes too many mistakes he’s a liability too often for me. How many times have we said this season that he looked solid apart from the mistake for the goal ?. Agree with this good post 😀

Worst away performance of the season are people having a laugh?! Did they forget Wigan, Shrewsbury, Bradford, Wimbledon?! We were dominating that game before the red card. Just comparing it against one of our play off contenders playing as we speak (Portsmouth v Wigan) we are very poor quality....... So you are not happy with DC then? He’s responsible for the squad the way we play and results and NO quality has you say henburygas.

If he has the ability to sign players in the Portsmouth/Wigan class then we will do a lot better

We cant just blame the ref every time we lose. We just ain't good enough. Yet. Another season where we've improved, I'm happy with that.
Bring on next season for a promotion push 👍 Isn't it a bit early to write that ?

I was waiting for you to start posting , we've lost a game so like magic you miraculously appear spouting more horse sh** ! After today's game our season is over regardless what the mathematicians say with what we have we are stagnant and need big changes at the club to move us forward in the right direction it seems that me and tbone and one or two others are the only ones who have ambition to move this club forward the rest of you are just happy to wallow in this league as long as you have your precious D C in charge for goodness sake look at the bigger picture I am all for free speech and feel free to express your views Midlands but as we have the right to reply I think you talk the biggest load of rubbish I've ever read on this forum. We have one of the best managers we have had for years and I believe his position is the most important within a football club. Even Man Utd couldn't get it right since Fergie left until now. To even dream we could replace him easily with a better manager is laughable and completly unrealistic. I am really glad you are not in a position of power within the club or we would be bankrupt in 2 years.

To be fair he has set himself up by willingly putting himself in the same boat as tbone, who is a complete wind-up merchant in any case! Unless, of course, midland is a wind up merchant himself Then, we’ve all been had!

From now until the end of the season I'd play Broadbent in every game. What the lad needs more than anything else is experience, and you only get that by playing. I also think there is now an opportunity to play some of the youngsters. Just one or two, but once again, the experience would be ideal for them going into next season. This season is effectively over, so planning has to start now for next season. I think the Lockyer/Craig combination lacks physicality, and in Div One we need one big strong centre-half. For me, it has to be Broadbent plus one other for next season. Not only that, but the lad, despite being a gurt big unit, can also play football. Is he your secret love child being you both served in the army..... just saying like Wash your mouth out ! On my ID card it said Royal Navy !

Because he’s still relatively young he’s a full international and he’s an average league 1 player who might get better with more time. I think a club in league 1 with money to spend would shell out 3-500k for him in the summer. Like bury did last summer. Thing with locks is although he might get better I’m not convinced he will or has over these last three years. My opinion on that is based on seeing most of his matches whereas a potential buyer wouldn’t have seen him stand still in his progression like a regular Rovers fan has. They’ll see Regular starter Captain League 1 International It makes him sound better than he is in my opinion.

Although of course a massive club not many miles away once bought a striker from Eastern Europe, only to find he was actually a full back. And we paid £300k for.......

Just hope someone does sign Locks this summer as starting to feel he's holding us back, Craig comes in, as a couple of dodgy games but then settles down meanwhile Locks gives two pens away at Plymuff and was at fault for both goals today. Plus he had a shocking start to the season. As far as Midland is he off his rocker, as why would Pardew even think about joining a mid table Div 1 side and who wants the clown anywhere near Rovers anyway.

DC's philosophy is to treat every game as a different project and pick his team accordingly and its served us well with two promotions and nicely consolidated back in our traditional home of the third tier. I presume you would advocate a change in manager if you don't like his methods? Personally I'm happy to trust him to get things right in the long run with backing from the owners. Two words Alan Pardew What a ridiculous suggestion. You clearly lack ambition. Pardew has failed in his most recent jobs so if we want to progress we should be looking at someone like Pep Guardiola.

Had he not been sent off, we may have won. On the other hand if Lockyer was someone else, may be we would have returned home with a point.

Time to plan for next season, starting eleven for first game ; Slocombe;Leads;Meneyase; Broadbent; Craig;Moore;Bennett;Sercombe;Russe;Telford;Harrison! A very bold 11. Some interesting suggestions (young faces). I presume you're putting Craig at LB ? I doubt if Moore will be kept on though ? An attacking player like him needs to provide goals and assists - he doesn't do that for all his neat football.
