Sweden might be heading for a Swexit vote soon too. Lots of anti immigration and a (former??) neo Nazi party set to take 20% of the vote in the upcoming general election. Seems to me that European politicians have completely misjudged the strength of feeling against embracing immigration and in dealing with immigrants not integrating into their new country. Sweden leaving the EU and ending the free movement of EU citizens will not trigger an automatic end to asylum seekers. And I think the numbers of asylum seekers and economic migrants from outside the EU are the main concerns of some Swedish voters. The two issues will get muddled, of course, just as they did here.

In recent months, both myself and Hugo (and I'm sure we are not alone) have both said that in the UK there isn't a political party that we feel represents us. We don't have anyone we want to vote for. I feel this same thought process is also happening throughout Europe, which is why people are moving away from the 'traditional' parties and voting for 'other' parties. People are watered off with what has been served up for the last 10,20,30,40,50,60 years !

Well said sir.

The nauseating smugness of the political elite across the UK and the EU exposed. However what is also obvious is that this discontent, which is exacerbated in the UK by punishing austerity piled upon an historic issue of income distribution, is being exploited by some pretty nasty right wing groupings.

Well, every other single nation in the EU27 have a anti-immigrant party sitting in their Parliament's. The UK is the only nation in the EU not to have this. We're not doing too badly eh? So, not exactly 'exacerbated' is it.

And lefty social justice warriors who ironically only want justice for certain groups. We are careering towards extremism full tilt and no one seems to want to stop it. I was interested to read Tony bLiar says he feels the Labour party is lost and that a new center left party is required. I can't believe I agreed with nearly everything he said!

Politics is like a Horseshoe, with both ends (far right, far left) actually being pretty close to each other. Labour are heading towards the very far-left at a rapid rate. I don't think you can class the Tories as far-right. There is a need for a new central party, as the Tories appear to be incapable of doing anything.

Yeah, Tories are a shambles.
We need a Center right AND a Centre left party!

Yeah, Tories are a shambles. We need a Center right AND a Centre left party! No extremists. Unfortunately, and I never thought I would see the day, but Labour are pretty much an Extremist Party nowadays.

Sorry Oldie.....You've lost this one. As the UK is the ONLY Parliament in the EU that doesn't have an anti-immigration party sat in it, with your views, don't you agree that it is a good thing that we are leaving the EU?

I would count at least 40 MPs as being "anti immigration" But no anti-immigrant party in Parliament.......Good thing we are leaving then? Every reason to stay and help block this cancer. But sadly I fear these days a majority of Brits would support an anti immigration party, or faction. Deluded as that maybe. Brexit was, in no small means, part of that. Frustrated people led by charlatans.
