Would be interested to hear what oldgas thinks a patriot is... I would assume it involves being a traitor to his class.
And it would have the depth of a Sun tabloid headline, much like his other posts.

Don’t be so simplistic, they’re totally different scenarios, as you very well know. If, after tortuous negotiations Lord Frost and his team are unable to obtain a deal then that means that the EU have tried to tie us to their rules and regulations and deny us sovereignty. So, in those circumstances I shall celebrate, because it means we have achieved total sovereignty which is what I voted for, not some bastardised abortion like that cow May tried to foist on us. Of course my preferred outcome would be to leave with a deal, but not at any price. I love the seething anger - “traitorous (sic) bastardised abortion cow” 😂 proper gammon stuff. Someone should make a gif of some brexiteer with Union Jack facepaint shouting out “sovereeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeigntyyyyyyyyyy” in the style of braveheart Got that wrong as well I’m afraid. Bastardised abortion was referring to the deal, not May, who I merely called a cow, which she is.

Couldn’t make it up? You’re doing a pretty good job of it here. I voted to join a common market, not a federeration of states, subservient to a Central burocracy of people I didn’t vote for. What did Boris hold up? Talk sense man, for Heavens sake. If it was you that pulled the post then you should take responsibility for using it in a deliberately misleading manner. But it still doesn’t alter the fact that 365 is a traitor. What have I made up? I've only pointed out facts posted in this thread. Boris voted against May's deal and held up Brexit multiple times. You're complaining about the 'traitors' that held up Brexit, but you then voted one of them into power. I haven't brought up anything in a misleading manner, I've merely posted facts about what 365 said and you've said. You're wanting it both ways and frankly you're upset that you've been caught red handed with it too. The whole traitor line is pretty embarrassing for you anyway tbh - on your logic, you're a traitor - so it doesn't really hold water. The fact that you've tried to politicise the deaths of our soldiers for your own Brexit opinion is shameful, in my opinion. Mays deal was BRINO. It would probably have delighted you remainers because it would have meant we would have had to follow Brussels slavishly without having the ability to be a nuisance and have any say. It would have accelerated the European project which would have suited you just fine. We would have been a vassal state, unable to act independently. Thank God her plans were seen through and thank God we are standing toe to toe with the EU and fighting for the best we can get. That answers the rest of your ridiculous allegations. Dont ever take a job as a prosecutor, you’d be an abject failure.

Did you read your own link? "The government has the power to vote against - or sometimes even veto - proposals in the Council of Ministers." You do know how EU law is made, don't you? Yes I do. And that veto is only available in very limited circumstances and is being squeezed out with every new treaty. come on Stuart, I thought you were better than that. What are these new treaties Oldgas ?

You are a lying, deceitful disgrace. You have taken one comment completely out of context and tried to use it against me. You know full well that comment was made following some hero on here saying they hoped Biden would assist the EU in doing this country harm because of Brexit, and that on Rememberance Day. You are a disgrace and you should hang your head in shame. You took my comment out of context by editing the post because you knew it made your vulgar reaction slightly more justified, so if the cap fits then wear it What post of yours have I edited. This is most important because I didn’t know you could edit another persons post, and I don’t think I know how to do it.

What are these new treaties Oldgas ? First of all my response was to Stuart. But never mind. Once again you are being obtuse because you know very well that new treaties are introduced by the EU as they pursue total federalisation.

It’s a forum .... you’ve stated new treaties have been introduced , when was the last new treaty ?

If you did, you would know about the checks and balances for QMV and that new treaties would have required a UK wide referendum. No need for the snide comment, it was a perfectly reasonable question.

I wonder if it's really worth responding to this guy. He is the Pantomime Clown, never, ever, a post based upon fact or evidence.

It wasn’t snide comment and I apologise if that’s how it was perceived. I was genuinely surprised that you were being so literal. Yes, I’ve heard of QVM and it’s fine as far as it goes. However, what do you make of this? www.politico.eu/article/majority-back-end-to-national-veto-2/Fortunately its academic as far as were concerned because we are free at last. I see that Van Der Layen is leaning on Barnier to loosen up and agree a deal, so they want it, probably more than us. The reason is simple, they need to trade with us. Even if we leave with no deal I think talks will continue and a deal will be sorted in the end. They are still coming to terms with our being sovereign.

If this was a boxing match his corner would have thrown in the towel ages ago . Really? seeing as we’ve left the EU I’d say it was your corner that should be throwing the towel in. But deluded is the collective Remainers middle name. ”Yeah but, if we wait a few years and we get a Labour government perhaps they’ll hold a referendum to re-join the EU” Suck it up, Losers. You probably know how Darlington are feeling.

If this was a boxing match his corner would have thrown in the towel ages ago . And when you consider I’ve been fighting a lone battle against 4 or 5 of you, because in the final analysis you’re the only ones on this whole forum who seem to give a flying that we’re leaving I reckon I’ve given a pretty good account and kept you all busy. No need to thank me.

However I decided to glance at it and yes, it’s of your usual low quality. Apparently a Patriot is a traitor to his class. Thanks for clearing that up; I’ve often wondered.
