Well actually he is correct in that the Oven ready deal is the withdrawal agreement (The one they now don't like part of) It's just they were trying to sell it as something it wasn't. It wasn’t oven ready if they had to change it . Nice try, these politicians are highly trained privately educated Ubermensch, they will never be wrong, it is not possible.

Tbf here, like with Macron - it seems like it's just negotiation, or rather I hope it is/was. A bit dirty tbf, but if it works then I'll applaud it - however unethical it may be.

What has allegedly been said is they will drop certain clauses of the internal market bill if a deal is agreed Seems a bold and risky negotiating strategy Why would that 'scare' The EU into a deal seeing as everyone admits the bill would break international law.

The clauses would be irrelevant anyway if a trade deal is agreed. It's not really offering anything new except timings/sequencing.

Hang on, as the Lords blocked the IM Bill and by convention don't taxation bills, is this a ruse?

What's the point of having a reputation for fair play if others take advantage and play dirty? Its about time this country behaved in the same way as the ethical EU. Who's to say those clauses were inserted so we had something to offer if it all came down to the wire? Inserting those clauses caused the EU to have a head fit. If nothing else it served to wind them up and waste money on preparing legal challenges. 23 days to Feedom Day. Rejoice!

Well personally, I grew up in a deprived area and went to well below average state schools. I'd reckon more people left my secondary school illiterate than when went to university for example. I wasn't being sarcastic, the most intelligent persons in our society end up in positions of power via natural selection - by the grace of God - attendimg our finest private schools. Mere serfs should know their place. I'm now a believer that the elite poilicians have all of our best interests at heart, and exist only to serve the BRITISH people. 🇬🇧

I think Stuart is giving too much credit to him tbh. The scary part is he actually believes it. Okay, let's let Oldgas decide who's right. Oldgas, are you (i) ill informed or (ii) know you are wrong but just trying to get a rise? 😇 Lol no response OldGas? What a surprise!

Summary from Robert Peston, all down to Boris. "But Johnson has apparently decided no post-Brexit free trade deal is worth the name if it is not backed by the majority of Tory MP members of the European Research Group - perhaps because without their unseating of Theresa May and backing for him, he would not be in his job today. What I don't know is whether he understands the weighty significance of sticking to that position. Because if he continues to press the EU for a deal that would win the universal acclaim of the MPs of the European Research Group, the UK will be leaving the transition at one second after midnight on December 31 without a deal." www.itv.com/news/2020-12-07/brexit-deal-or-no-deal-is-now-a-simple-personal-choice-for-boris-johnson
