Help me here, is the language used different to what Boris is saying? Misinterpretation or possible fudge? Sounds like they are being sensibly flexible and exposing Johnson and his rhetoric That was my take, too. Looking at Robert Peston's twitter last night he referenced a Times article written by Allegra Stratton's husband who also happens to be Rishi Sunak's best mate. He thought none of the issues raised were actually issues and wondered if it was part of the PR, ready for Boris to 'save the day'. Mind you, he's changed opinions several times.

Stuart as I just posted you need to read the whole bit as what KA has posted is misleading.

Thought it worth highlighting this bit Gassy "There are many people whom it is possible to blame for the shambles that Brexit has become: quisling traitors, remoaners, deep-state operatives, incompetent politicians, high court judges, so-called ‘experts’, academics…the list goes on. However, there is one group who it would be unreasonable to expect to bear any responsibility whatsoever for the consequences of their actions: the people who actually voted for all of this." PRECISELY

PRECISELY He said: “From January 1st we will be moving to an Antarctica-style deal with the EU, trading with it on the same terms as that noble continent. “So now is the moment to liquidate your business, put your savings into gold, stock up on non-perishable food, fill the bath with drinking water and nail plywood over the windows.” I actually read that in my head in Boris’s tone and cadence and it didn’t even sound like satire. Why do I get the feeling there will be a New Year’s Day address where he pretty much says exactly that....

"But if the UK decided to go its own way on some rules, there would be a price to pay with possible tariffs, she added." Moot point, but that bit isn't actually in "" so isn't a direct quote. The bit after "she added" is then in "" which appears to be the linked paragraph and is from the video footage. Not for me to lecture the BBC on correct use of punctuation.😀 Anyway, that's beside the point. As soon as we diverge then access to each other's markets will become trickier. The job of those in charge is to find some middle ground, otherwise we all lose. Time for some statesmanship.

Racist media having a normal one...
Shouldn't give them the oxygen but they are rapidly suffocating anyway.

Never mind that an elected official is actually trying to use the wars as a reason to why we should be able to negotiate directly with Germany, by passing the EU. It's honestly embarrassing.

The right wing tabloids ( owned by billionaires) are a major reason we’re going down this sh**ty road . Such a shame the readership haven’t got the intelligence to realise what they’re reading is normally racist lying bullshit . Ps where is our friend Oldgas ?

Get offensive & abusive 3. Play the victim 4. Actual decent debate and some interesting points 5. Bit of time off 6. Repeat Right now we're in between 3 & 4 IMO. Step 5 mate
