Another thing, we sign these players, they come on the website either wearing the shirt or holding it up. DC says he's been watching him for a long time, the new player says what a great club to come to and what happens? F.A!! That's what happens, they either turn out to be total failures, donkeys, a couple of appearences on the subs bench then they're gone Behave. Sercombe, Bodin, Taylor, Bennett, Lines and many more have come through the door under DC through those circumstances and have done very well for us. I’m baffled that you hold DC’s transfer record in that low regard, it’s got us two promotions hasn’t it?

If Bako jumped ship at the last minute would he really have out in the 100% required on the pitch?

..................and what about a 'proper' left back?! Kelly didn't get the nod on Saturday: so we've lost an experienced LB and a goalscoring (by our standards!) CF, and replaced them with.........................?

Not fair, we signed some guy whose recuperating from a nasty ACL for left back OK bit of a gamble but there is optimism he'll be match fit in a couple more months and if he recovers well could prove an exceptional signing. We only pay a fee if he plays games so it's only wages we have to cover. If not fit by Christmas then we are back into the market for a left back. Also DC only knew in February or March that Browner was definitely not going to sign.

The blame for all that’s happening now lies solely at the door or should it be flap of the fake sheikhs and charlatans that own us. I wouldn’t blame Darrell one bit if he called it a day after all he has done for our club

How can DC be certain he'll be fit in 2 months time when he's been out a year already?

Weeezord, I can only comment as I see it. How do you see our failure to get two strikers through the door when we lose three very easily!! Unless you are Darrell Clarke's phone, you can't possibly know we are only in for one player at a time. Correct me if I'm wrong?
I think its a sh** situation we are in, but I'm not making huge assumptions based on what I read online.
We don't know the half of it.
What we do know is we are ******* **** at negotiating; we can lose players, cant keep players, with one of the worst grounds in the country and no training ground its hardly surprising.

We could be out of two cup competitions by then and struggling in the league....................

Much as I love the Gas I'm not sure I'd be willing to plug £2m a year losses from my family's money even if I had it.
You really need to be fabulously wealthy if you want to own a football club.
I guess the pain of funding us is getting to the Al Quadi family.
I guess what money they spend will now focus on income generation like the bar, the shop and sponsorship in the hope of reducing losses.
To reduce losses playing budget will be kept low and they will cross their fingers that DC can pull that rabbit out of the hat.
If DC can't do this or the income streams can't be increased then it's bleak....

Agreed it's a gamble that why he talked of signing a second left back but realised he had not be able to sign even one fit left back in 4 months so he gave up that idea.

People are free to have digs at wael and family over various aspects, but he does seem like a very decent bloke. Don't think he'll bleed the club dry or leave us up the creek. He'll know how frustrated people are and work even harder to fix it I reckon.

Mind you they lapped it up when we had the two promotions -- Surely they knew you simply cannot rest on your laurels and to be a successful club you've got to spend a tidy some of money -- Especially when you are competing to try and achieve Championship football. Not to mention how much extra when you actually get there.

Our goal difference was crap again. We cannot defend, because we have two central defenders that cannot head a football. It's not all the fault of the owners. The buck stops with the head coach and his mates.

I'm hoping the Feb March thing is sarcasm its now August and we don't have a fully fit left back !!!

Don't u think that it's more a case of the low amount of the available salary that we paid rather that the transfer fee that is limiting us from who we can bring in? I definitely don't profess to be any expert on salaries, but I guess Harrison can't have been on that high a salary. So when we are attempting to sign players, many of whom would have to up sticks and pay for expensive housing in Bristol, we are unable to compete with many of our rivals.
