I don't like how you predominantly aim this at Darrell. You really don't like him, do you? It is true though, he is head of recruitment, he is building the team, he decides who plays and how they play. We have the same back line as last season with the exception of Brown, and then we have no forwards worth mentioning, but in midfield our "cup runneth over", and to be honest there are 1 or 2 I cannot ever see getting a game in midfield. Personally I think he should have got Telford in as a start, then 2 others. Absolute shambles we have already started playing league games and we are scratching around to try and find a cheap option, and even when we do he goes to a club that 2 years ago were on their way out of existence I love it when you can't control your positivity.

Agree with you Blueridge. Most managers get their business done early so they can prepare for the new season gelling in friendlies. Very few leave it till near the last days of deadline to get essential signings. Any signing made now should be just to touch up a squad or sign if an absolute bargain comes up. Most managers know what their budgets are before the last week of the window. DC has done well with what he has. You have to look a little further up to see the club is in a shambles. Late shirts. Late stands. Season tickets not available half the summer. Removing programme duties from an award winning programme producer. Having to remove a sponsor from our shirt. A training ground field going to seed. No ground news. Prices increased. Best players sold. We've sold tickets for areas of the ground we've not even built and had safety certs for!! How you can lay any of that at DCs door is ridiculous. I'd question DC has done well as we're still short on CB's, a LB and Gaffeny's replacement but we seem to be over run with midfield players, vastly over run if you include Russe, Hargreaves & Sincs who are all potentially first team players this season.

Think we should be okay at left back with Holmes-Dennis, Kelly and J.Clarke. Personally would push whatever money we have left in the ‘pot of gold’ to the goal scoring end of the pitch

Take your racist comments elsewhere. What' is the racist point on this post? Just interested as to what you see, and what I dont A sheik is a ruler of a tribe or a nobleman or even royalty. Wael and co are not sheiks, they are businessman. To tag them "fake sheiks" is racial stereotyping imo.

And don't leave it to one or two strikers. We need at least three or four to come in for discussions NOW not bloody Wednesday. We should put ourselves in the driving seat by making offers for say three or four and then pulling out of two instead of the other way around. DC is too slow with any transfer dealings- we have had 3 months for gods sake. be v ery interested to see what Wael has got to say on Saturday. Usual load of c--p I expect although we might be in for a shock because he actually texted GT to get on a show. See...patience is a virtue and the gaffer knows what he's doing

stapletongas, That remains to be seen after 10-15 games but certainly on paper we have a strong squad where a couple of good players will struggle to get in the 18 especially when everyone is fit. If any one of our strikers prove to be good we could be top 6.

Well, istm, it's a bit like someone in America, for example, calling David Beckham a fake prince, when he went to LAG. It might sound witty if all you know about England, say, is Manchester United and the royal family, but it just sounds stupid to anyone with more than the tiniest amount of knowledge of that country. It's hardly racist, though, imo. Just not very witty and a bit dim.
