Most managers know what their budgets are before the last week of the window. DC has done well with what he has. You have to look a little further up to see the club is in a shambles. Late shirts. Late stands. Season tickets not available half the summer. Removing programme duties from an award winning programme producer. Having to remove a sponsor from our shirt. A training ground field going to seed. No ground news. Best players sold. We've sold tickets for areas of the ground we've not even built and had safety certs for!! How you can lay any of that at DCs door is ridiculous.Who's mentioned anything about those issues on this thread - this is all about the playing side of the club which DC is totally responsible for. I agree the rest is shambolic - was it really worse under Higgs - surprising as we're now supposed to be run by professional businessmen. Sigh. Ok, I will try to make it easier for you. DC did not know his budget for players this window. That was not his fault, it was the fault of the people above him. To hammer that fact home, I gave further illustration of all the other cock ups from those above DC.

Gaffney wanted to leave so I doubt any offer would have persuaded him to stay. It must be great him knowing he's first choice CF at Salford Yes in the National League! and probably earning more. and probably playing more and probably appreciated

Agree with you Blueridge. Most managers get their business done early so they can prepare for the new season gelling in friendlies. Very few leave it till near the last days of deadline to get essential signings. Any signing made now should be just to touch up a squad or sign if an absolute bargain comes up. The blame for all that’s happening now lies solely at the door or should it be flap of the fake sheikhs and charlatans that own us. I wouldn’t blame Darrell one bit if he called it a day after all he has done for our club Take your racist comments elsewhere. What' is the racist point on this post? Just interested as to what you see, and what I dont

That’s the worrying / hilarious part. Stating facts on here is now shot down as ‘moaning’. Would love to see someone who is still fully behind the board go through your factual post replying to each point, explaining how this shows the club is being run in a professional manner! It simply isn’t.

And don't leave it to one or two strikers. We need at least three or four to come in for discussions NOW not bloody Wednesday. We should put ourselves in the driving seat by making offers for say three or four and then pulling out of two instead of the other way around. DC is too slow with any transfer dealings- we have had 3 months for gods sake. be v ery interested to see what Wael has got to say on Saturday. Usual load of c--p I expect although we might be in for a shock because he actually texted GT to get on a show. I don't like how you predominantly aim this at Darrell. You really don't like him, do you? It is true though, he is head of recruitment, he is building the team, he decides who plays and how they play. We have the same back line as last season with the exception of Brown, and then we have no forwards worth mentioning, but in midfield our "cup runneth over", and to be honest there are 1 or 2 I cannot ever see getting a game in midfield. Personally I think he should have got Telford in as a start, then 2 others. Absolute shambles we have already started playing league games and we are scratching around to try and find a cheap option, and even when we do he goes to a club that 2 years ago were on their way out of existence

Tommy Widdington is. I agree it's a shambles but I don't lay the blame at DC's door. Mine is at the owners. I have seen things which makes me question if they know what is going on. I have seen things from DC to make me question if he knows what is going on and his budget. He wouldn't have known his budget until Ellis had gone. And even now, it seems like he has to shop at poundland as the Ellis signing is only being paid in installments.
