Doesn’t matter anyway. Lockyer and Craig could both make 5 howlers each a lose us the game 10-0.
Next game Lockyer will still be captain and Craig will still be in the team. Reilly will then come on as a sub, score a hatrick in the last 10 minutes and won’t be played again until March 2019

He also fumbled a lot. Didn't look great at all until that last save. Have to disagree, he only had at most 4 saves to make, most of which he pushed out for corners. Our other shots on target were pearollers. Fair enough, agree to disagree. Didn't think he was the commanding sort of keeper we desperately need.

Wasn't there tonight but judging by messages from people who were we were very unfortunate not to win let alone lose. I know there will be the usual over the top criticism tonight but I genuinely think we aren't far off. Sounds very much as if the red card has changed the game will be interested to hear what DC has to say. Watching on iFollow I'd say a draw was probably about right. Agree with this thought we looked okay going forward but soft at the back. Pompey weren’t anything special and caught us out with two long balls (second goal especially disappointing to concede).

What I’m saying is , we are still conceding plenty of goals ( like last season ) and we are still missing plenty of chances. Plenty of time to turn it around but right now the table doesn’t lie, these poor starts to the season , I fear , will one day catch us out. To be fair 2 of the games that we’ve lost are against the only 2 teams in this league that have won every game so far and 2 of the top 3 scorers in this league. It also sounds like we smashed them tonight and had we taken our chances people would be viewing the game and performance completely differently. But everyone will ignore that anyway, cue the meltdown. No meltdown from me , just concerned with our continued bad defence and our inability to keep a clean sheet , like I said earlier we are garaunteed to make a mistake every game that leads to a goal , we’ve had this issue for a while now but nothing seems to of changed. We also keep playing well in large spells but fail to capitalise, prime example is Sercombes miss , they go up the other end and score ! Nothing was ever won or lost in August , of course , but things need to be sorted as losing games becomes a habit.

Maybe I’m mad but I thought we played bloody well.
Losing that game hurt a lot.
Only one player I thought had a bad game. Unfortunately he’s between the sticks.we have to get someone new in on loan. Please please please be Lumley.
Nichols and Payne are games away from becoming a potent strikeforce

I disagree, they scored more than us so they deserve to win. That is the most important stat after all. You cant keep blaming everything or everyone, we leak goals and arent clinical enough.

And to add, I Dam hate Pompey.
As hard as it is because they’re a proper club with proper fans.

Losing 3 out of 4 is relegation material simple can’t keep blaming this and that. It’s another very poor start to a season

Nichols and Payne are games away from becoming a potent strikeforce They're going to need to be. Because we need to score 3 to win a game.

Instead of worrying about more midfielders and strikers, we should have spent the summer trying to sell Lockyer and build a whole new back 4. The only defender we signed appears to be a crock.

DC has to change his approach to pre season and recruitment. Its the same every year playing catch up.

Was the sending off harsh? Lines should have stayed on his feet but dived in and gave the ref something to think about. Stupid and avoidable, someone of his experience should know better imo.

No I wouldn’t have expected a meltdown from you personally as I know you’re a positive poster on the whole. It is frustrating to see us lose games due to defensive errors but Pompey were very clinical tonight and scored 2 goals when they had the chance. They’ve scored 7 goals in their 3 league games previously to tonight so we’re not the first side to suffer from them being clinical. My point was that I’d take encouragement from the fact that tonight we deserved to get something from the side that have won every game this season, but that will be ignored by a lot of people because the result didn’t go our way.

Was the sending off harsh? I thought it was a bit. More of a tangle of legs than anything, and then I think Lines' boot hit the guy's face. But not malicious in anyway. Thought Clarke's was a nailed on red, though.
