Well chuffed with that. Not the greatest performance by any means, but the energy and effort was much better today. Sinclair, Bonham, O.Clarke, all brilliant. Coventry fans were an absolute embarrassment at the end. Grown men arguing with kids! Missed that, what happened?

I'll hold my hands up, DC got it right today overall. I still stand by the assertion that he got it wrong by picking Nichols though. What did he offer today seeing as he didn't score for the umpteenth appearance in succession? Really pleased for Reilly as we need a striker who can get 10 for the season at least and hopefully this will give him a bit more confidence going forwards. Nichols was ok today and better than Payne who was useless. I’m sorry but going forward Nichols is not our man. His goal return is shambolic regardless of performance

I know who I’d rather have on the pitch.

Seemed to me that they kicked off after that last block of Rovers fans (most of which were kids) taunted them when they had that goal disallowed.

I know who I’d rather have on the pitch. Both have scored 2 😉 Nichols has looked better than Payne both performance-wise and effort-wise lately.

How many are accepting the large slices of humble pie being offered by DC over his team selection today? I will stand by not playing Nichols, a striker in current form Of 1 in 40 odd games, needs to be playing under23 games and start scoring or go out on loan to get some form back.

With respect, even a stopped clock is right twice a day and given this is only our 2nd win in 9 you could say he has certainly been picking a team to get sacked prior to today! We don't appear to be out of the woods yet either, sounded like we were lucky not to draw 3-3 thanks to the defending. Winning more games than the defence costs us is going to be the big challenge this season unless he can bring in a decent 6ft+ experienced CB on a free to help out until January. With respect, if you're going to use that analogy, there are 24 hours in a day, not 9.
So you honestly think he has been picking a team to get sacked prior to today?
So whats changed today, why has he picked a team to win today?
He has certainly been negligent- would you play Sercombe on the wing? Would you continue to pick Nichols? I'm not sure there are many Rovers fans who would, yet DC did and it's hardly surprising we lose games and struggle to even have a shot. Anyway regardless of how many minutes there are in a day the point is we have 2 wins from 9 games which ain't a great ratio and suggests it is all likely to change next week and we go back to losing ways. It sounds like we did our best to self destruct at the back as it is but Coventry were useless up top. So this team could yet get DC the sack if he continues to pick it and today may have been an outlier, time will tell.

Having seen Payne play, I’d back him to score more goals which is what you want from a striker although I’d agree Nichols is putting in better performances.

Got to say that game could easily have swung the other way if not for a brilliant early save from Bonham. Glad we got the break when we did as the confidence then flowed through the team after that and as a game of football i thought it was very entertaining. Coventry played some lovely passing football at times and made a good game of it tbf. Sinclair and Ollie clarke today were the difference imo both immense with their work rate. UTG.

So going by your logic, we shouldn't have won today? I mean, 1 win in 8 games priar to today, means we shouldn't have won today..?
If we had won our first game, going by your logic, we would have won this league with 20 odd games to go.

Simply said that he was ok today , which he was and that he was better than Payne who was useless. Which he was.

I thought we played more like a darrell clarke team today, meaning the the players worked very hard to get the 3 points. Reilly, bennett, lines,o clarke and sinclair worked very hard throughout and covered many miles and the back four stuck to their task for the 90 minutes. Dosnt mean everything is fine but its a much needed stepping stone to improving our league position.

I hope not I’m here now. Good job I’m wearing my high heel sling back waders in this weather! COYB 3 - 1 win. Boom! Well what a very pleasant and profitable birthday weekend that was! I think the waders did the trick. Quick shower now and then out right on it, well done Gas I never doubted you 👀. Oh before I go, Midland Midland give us a song Midland give us a song UTG!

Joy of Joys, at last a decent sat night!pleased for Reilly (thats him dropped next wk then!) just knew Tom would score today(no, not that one!) and Ollie you should let fly more often!thanks to Bonham for keeping us in it, he must inspire confidence in back line, and what more can be said of the beard!i am one of the one who while admiring his effort , thought we needed more than just hard work from key midfielder, BUT, he has convinced me of his great value to the team. He plays as if every game is his last and as though he is so grateful to have the chance top lay at this level and is grabbing every last second of it with both feet, this in turn can't help but inspire others around him , wherein lies his great value to the cause, cos if he is seen to be putting so much effort in and others are not it shows them up, so they in turn respond, look at end of last season when he was missing!Stefan Payne take note, nobody likes being dropped but instead of sulking , when you come on as sub you should be busting a gut to prove manager wrong for dropping you, not sulking around the pitch with a chip on your shoulders! you have shown it before so come on!Well done Rovers , one small step to salvation! up the Gas!PS perhaps with so many tents around Coventry defence thought they were on holiday!

Payne, Nichols and Craig awful. Reilly and Jak need to be top 2. Sincs is the battery of the team. 3-1 win but never did I feel confident. Parts and Sercs needed and played correctly. 3 points. UTG!!!

Shouldn't is a very ridiculous word- 1 win in 8 means you are not likely to win your next one, just as 1 league goal in 50 appearances means you would be out of your mind to put money on Nichols scoring in the next match because whilst not impossible it is certainly not likely!

Well, I'm in Poole for the weekend with Mrs Scoobydoo so I missed the game. In fact, I've only missed two home games in all competitions this season and Rovers have won both (today and West Ham). Guess I should stay away for the rest of the season. May have to flog my Blackthorn season ticket.
