I actually think the defence has taken far too much criticism this season. And Tony Craig more than most...
Before he arrived we would regularly get hounded: 3/4 away from home. His arrival has marked a slow defensive improvement.
Now considering the keeper has only been with the back 4, for a month, we lost Lee Brown, defensively we have improved quite a bit. The whole set up deserves credit. Yet, many on here will say that TC has concrete boots and was a waste of time...
All of this said: I think recently we look better defensively because Ollie Clarke is back. He’s got going. And it’s good.
Finally, there’s still improvement to come. We need to play out a little more. We can find ourselves going long too often.

Just seen the highlights. Craig was bloody lucky not to give a penalty away and not get sent off! Seems a bit churlish. He saved us a goal and won us a point. Not sure why anyone would complain about that. If he didn't handball it, then he wasn't lucky. He got it right. If he did handball it (which I don't think he did, coz no one on the actual field seemed that interested in appealing), he got away with it. Good for him and good for us. Complaining or stating a fact? No need to be so defensive Antonio.

It's just a bit weird to state that someone who deliberately clears an otherwise certain goal off the line was being lucky. Makes it sound like you resent that bit of success. Normally, it seems to me, it should be more like, 'great save off the line, it won us a point.'

Of course it was a good thing, but he was also very lucky to get away with that.

Don't understand why all the Bradford players didn't go mental about that.

Don't understand why all the Bradford players didn't go mental about that. Probably, that they did not see it and did not benefit like us from seeing it on camera from an elevated uninterrupted view.

I think Craig was a brilliant signing as outlined in my previous post prior to his arrival last season we were conceding threes and fours on a regular basis this stopped following his arrival age doesn’t come in to it Yesterday was the 4th time we've kept a clean sheet since Craig joined us. So we can stop a poor team that's below us from scoring . Whoppee do

From the Bradford Forum "We're the new Coventry. Beige and pointless. If that result doesn't prove that we are easily in with the sh**test teams in this league, I don't know what will."

This thread could go on for ever the fact that DC feels that both Tony Craig and Tom Nichols are worth their place in the side is good enough for me

Two home wins and one away draw in the last three games, and just three goals conceded in our last five games. It's a lot better than it was.
Admittedly one of the wins was against some Cockernee kids, but still, a win is a win.
I think we will see that this spell was the turning point and DC will claw us up to about 10th at the end of the season.

I hope you're right but I believe our lack of goals will keep us in the bottom half.

Think our biggest priority is staying in this league with our current start.

Think our biggest priority is staying in this league with our current start. I think realistically staying in league 1 was our biggest priority from day one to be honest. Doesn’t mean we can’t build on the positives from the last few games and push on and have another good mid table season though does it ?

Another good season mid table finish , if only we had a manager that started the season on day one and not after 7/8 games we could easily finish top ten

Another good season mid table finish , if only we had a manager that started the season on day one and not after 7/8 games we could easily finish top ten If you think the team DC has built on a lower league 1 budget is easily good enough to finish top 10 then you think he’s built a good team then yes ? So we’re easily good enough to finish top 10 , DC has built the team over 4 years from conference to league 1 , our budget is lower league 1 yet DC is out of his depth ?

As do clean sheets... Clean sheets will guarantee you don’t lose but they don’t win games. At least not if Tom Nichols is your striker.

As do clean sheets... You can guarantee a draw with a clean sheet.
