No, Dc has to stay. He's proved he's good enough in the passed, justhe needs proper backing.

Still waiting for one of the DC out brigade to actually suggest a realistic replacement Paul Hurst could be on the market soon...Based on our budget and the fact we are an absolute basket case Gary Bowyer would be a good shout too. Ipswich appointed him on the back of one good season in the league below. He then bought players such as Harrison based on one good season in league one!

Radio Bristol mentioned just now that there's definite takeover interest. If that's true then it must be a difficult climate to work in whoever you are. DC's recruitment has been pretty pants, but maybe he just isn't being given the money to reinvest whenever we sell better. I don't know who is to blame for the current situation and DC can't dine out on past glories forever, but at least he does have some and knows who we are. I'm not sure the best manager in the world could do anything with a club owned by people who are as determined to put as little into it as the the Al Qadis seem to be and who regularly mention a non-operational training ground (i.e field) as proof of their commitment. Given our current shape and aging resources, such as they are, I can't see any half-decent manager being in a rush to come here anyway.

Hang on, thought its done & dusted? October's the month?
Now there is just takeover interest..?
To be fair R Bristol can't really go into specifics can they? Interesting Ed Adwin(?) just suggested fans it was issues higher up than the manager fans needed to look at, not the manager's position itself.

Radio Bristol mentioned just now that there's definite takeover interest. Just interest? A few weeks back all the ITKers were suggesting all was done and dusted to be announced in October Appreciate the month’s just started but seems a bit of a difference between interest and a done deal Probably a shorthand way of saying that prospective owners are doing due diligence - this could have been going on for a while and will take as long as it takes. If the current incumbents had actually done their due diligence the chances are they wouldn't be here. In fact what worries me is the prospective buyers do too much due diligence because if they do they would realise they would have to be bloody mental to buy us!

Ipswich appointed him on the back of one good season in the league below. He then bought players such as Harrison based on one good season in league one! His team could do a job in league one. Sadly DC is struggling to put together a team that is any better than mid-table and even when given money has spunked it away on the likes of Nichols who...well, I don't need to say any more there!

So we get a manager in who won't get backed. What a stupid argument.
Clearly there are behind the scene issues, even rad Bristol are dropping hints.

So the guy on Radio Bristol said. To be honest, I was slightly startled by that too, and knowing what it gets like on here it surprised me more that the comment hadn't generated ten pages of discussion before I mentioned it ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I don't think I imagined it, but it's not entirely impossible. If not, then maybe the Radio Bristol bloke is 'In The Know', or maybe he's just taken a leaf out of the Post's book and is treating threads on here as a valid news source ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Or maybe the the blokes just a complete Dam cock!

I'd rather our disillusioned owners backed Darrell properly rather than hanging him out to dry.

They’re a lot more careful with their language than the Post who will post any old sh** from social media. The fact they’ve said there’s definitely interest rather than saying there’s speculation suggests something solid going on. They’re also much closer than Evely/Post who just regurgitate Radio Bristol interviews and club statements.

Problem is, if DC did get the push whoever replaces him won’t be given any cash to invest and have the owners got enough cash to pay DC off (not sure what that would cost tbh)
Secondly, who could do a job from those available? I guess Mourinho might be looking for a job later 😆

I know things aren't great right now but let's not get silly.
What's going to change if we get a new manager? If anything we'll get worse I imagine. It's the same board.
I still have faith that DC is the best manager for the club, it's just a shame he's managed us under horrendous conditions. Whilst Higgs and Co did f all off the pitch, I feel they would have backed DC more than the AQ family have.

From his radio interview the people who need questioning are the owners and chairman
All conspicuous by their absence!

In my opinion DC is one of the 3 best manager the club has ever had the others being Megson and Francis. If ever the clown that is Holloway was brought in to replace him I would pack in supporting the club after 65 years

Deflecting attention and blame towards the owners and chairman doesn't seem fair though. This is his squad and he's had backing to put it together.
