Seems most people are blaming the board, for me it’s a combination of everything so where do we start?

It feels painful now but let’s not be too rash to call for the head of a man that has heralded such success with us during his tenure.
I trust Darrell Clarke more than I’ve trusted any other manager in my time watching the gas, to turn this around. Shame I can’t say the same thing about the owners.

What manager could do better with our budget?
Taylor, Bodin, Harrison.
No manager at any level can have their best players sold season after season and not be effected

To me it's yet another year of being majorly underprepared at the start of the season. We can't keep starting seasons poorly and expect it to turn around. We never sign players early. The kit wasn't ready. The stands weren't ready. We can't keep bumbling into a new season and expect to get away with it. Add to that the complete disappearance of our dear leader and we seem to be walking straight into League 2.

Radio Bristol mentioned just now that there's definite takeover interest. If that's true then it must be a difficult climate to work in whoever you are. DC's recruitment has been pretty pants, but maybe he just isn't being given the money to reinvest whenever we sell better.
I don't know who is to blame for the current situation and DC can't dine out on past glories forever, but at least he does have some and knows who we are. I'm not sure the best manager in the world could do anything with a club owned by people who are as determined to put as little into it as the the Al Qadis seem to be and who regularly mention a non-operational training ground (i.e field) as proof of their commitment. Given our current shape and aging resources, such as they are, I can't see any half-decent manager being in a rush to come here anyway.

Radio Bristol mentioned just now that there's definite takeover interest. Just interest? A few weeks back all the ITKers were suggesting all was done and dusted to be announced in October Appreciate the month’s just started but seems a bit of a difference between interest and a done deal

So the guy on Radio Bristol said. To be honest, I was slightly startled by that too, and knowing what it gets like on here it surprised me more that the comment hadn't generated ten pages of discussion before I mentioned it ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I don't think I imagined it, but it's not entirely impossible. If not, then maybe the Radio Bristol bloke is 'In The Know', or maybe he's just taken a leaf out of the Post's book and is treating threads on here as a valid news source ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)
