From his radio interview the people who need questioning are the owners and chairman All conspicuous by their absence! I'm still behind DC and haven't heard the interview yet. Deflecting attention and blame towards the owners and chairman doesn't seem fair though. This is his squad and he's had backing to put it together. Backing ? Selling his best players and getting just 25% of the that to replace . You’re are joking surely ?

Still think DC is the best option for us.
But happy for the new owners to make that call come Christmas.

Still waiting for one of the DC out brigade to actually suggest a realistic replacement
Ollie, obviously...
Living in the past. Another manager that has lost his touch.. shouldn't go near him. People forgetting DC never shafted us when Leeds and others came knocking. The shambles behind the scenes has filtered through to playing side. Give DC more time.

True DC was hampered by lack of funding but he's not done well with the money he's had either...

So the guy on Radio Bristol said. To be honest, I was slightly startled by that too, and knowing what it gets like on here it surprised me more that the comment hadn't generated ten pages of discussion before I mentioned it ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I don't think I imagined it, but it's not entirely impossible. If not, then maybe the Radio Bristol bloke is 'In The Know', or maybe he's just taken a leaf out of the Post's book and is treating threads on here as a valid news source ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Or maybe the the blokes just a complete f**king cock! Well I’ve been listening to radio Bristol for a while now and there’s absolutely no doubt in my mind that the bloke is a complete Dam cock 😂. He might have some inside information but I wouldn’t credit him with the way he’s gone about it anymore than the ITK numpties on here.

Radio Bristol mentioned just now that there's definite takeover interest. Just interest? A few weeks back all the ITKers were suggesting all was done and dusted to be announced in October Appreciate the month’s just started but seems a bit of a difference between interest and a done deal Why all this sarcasm towards people who have genuine info. As I (and others) said on other thread, there is serious negotiations about take over. Hoped to be finished by end of oct. 2 well known names with a large outside company. UWE back on agenda.

This is the thing that stands out to me. 25% where have you got that from ? If it’s right then yeah that’s crap but we have brought the likes of Payne Rodman Mathews Upson in and lost Ellis gafney and brown. I’d imagine there isn’t that much difference in our wage budget this year compared to last. For what it’s worth I don’t think the players we’ve signed are bad players either they’re just not gelling or being used right. The way I see it is DC has had success playing quite a direct 442 with attacking fullbacks and loads of width which Chris lines absolutely loves because he’s brilliant at spreading the play and setting up attacks with a team that likes to go wide. Back to back promotions were built on it. This season Lines might as well be on the bench because everything’s in the middle it’s Dam atrocious to watch , watching the opposition defence squeeze the play more and more centrally and watching our attackers and midfielders doing the same. It’s water easy to play against, as a defender or goalkeeper in my case all you want from a defensive point of view is to keep your back four close together with little space between your full backs and Center half’s and the way we play plays right in to the hands of that. We didn’t once stretch their back line today by pulling full backs out wide to create space between them and their Center half’s. It’s dreadful and it’s because we’re overloaded with central midfielders and inside forwards ei Bennet right footed / left side.

We got around 1.3m for the front three. Payne and Nicolls cost upwards of 500k which is a very significant investment at this level. That's not including other fees incurred. People are living in cukooland if they think we can spend 750k+ on a single player.

After today I will out myself in the DC has to go camp, as were most of the people around me on the terrace today. Why? Well firstly the recruitment, both last year and this year. Nichols today looked uninterested and would struggle to get in to a Southern League Side, and no way is he going to "turn it around". He should not play in the first team again, and sadly that means saying goodbye to £350,000. Then to try and get us out of the sh** he plays "the old guard" and whilst this is sacrilege Sinclair is not a quick passing attacking player, why is he playing out wide? Because their is no place for him in the middle, or any of the 5 other centre midfielders we have. Upson, did we need him? Apparently not, because we have Sercombe who really does need to be in the middle, along with Clarke and Lines. Most clubs have 4 central midfielders and 3 or 4 wide players. Us? ONE wide player and SEVEN central players. Then the left back. firstly he signs an injured player with a hope that he comes good, however I think most people recognise that players are never quite so good after a major injury. But then the add insult to injury he then signs a bog standard left back from Stevenages reserves, another signing we didn't need. Then up front, what a pigs ear he has made of that. If we had not have signed Upson then we could have signed a better forward than Payne. In fact if he didn't have such a large squad we could afford to sign better players.
As for saying he hasn't been backed, that is not correct, he has just spunked the money he has been given on a totally useless forward, a three signings last January, one of which had had to go out on loan because we have reached our EFL spending limit. People keep saying he needs more money, but he cannot spend anymore than the rules allow. Meanwhile Accrington show how to be successful on the lowest budget in the league. DC brought us here, but he is incapable of taking us further

No, Dc has to stay. He's proved he's good enough in the passed, justhe needs proper backing. That was in the past; forget the past because it counts for nothing. Now and the future is important. And he has had more backing than any manager in our history with the exception of Holloway, and he spunked it all away as well

It's obvious something is not right behind the scenes! D.C. is using the same excuses every week, Dusting ourselves down etc. If something is happening let him run the club under new owners. My only concern is that whoever owns the club will not matter as we will have the same players and same tactics. D.C. has spent money but not wisely. Our 200k signing couldn't even make the bench today!
I back him to turn it around but get the feeling the changing room is divided as is the board? The silence from WAQ, Hamer and the CEO is defening! The sooner things get sorted out the better!! UTG
