What I'd love to see: -----------------Bonham-------- Partington--Lockyer--Broadbent--Kelly -Matthews --Sercombe--Clarke--Bennett- ------------Jakubiak--Payne----------- That pretty much what weve been doing all season , right footer on left and left footer on right No attacking fullbacks .. Zero width , narrow predictable football. Bennett & Matthews I don't care who goes what side as I can't remember each of their favoured feet. The rest, I don't remember a single time when we've played that back 4 together. Neither when we've put 2 strikers up front together (of the target man and speedy finisher) as its always (if ever) been Reilly & Nichols together. Have you been watching the games though? Because we've barely ever played 4-4-2. Its usually 4-4-1-1 or 3-5-2 or 4-5-1

Astounded how many have left Lockyer out of their preferred side. As Ollie is suspended (if he wasn't, he'd be in for Sincs)... Bonham Partington Lockyer Craig Kelly Lines Sinclair Matthews Sercombe Bennett Jakubiak Subs: Smith, J Clarke, Broadbent, Martin, Rodman, Reilly, Payne I don't know why you are astounded about Lockyer - when did he last have a really good game ? Is he clearly better than J. Clarke or Craig ? I'd personally be happier with J clarke ( arguably player of the season so far) and Craig.

Let's see if we can all come up with a concensus on who should START the game on Saturday. Of course DC wont pick the team we will. I will start, and unlike DC I will start with an attacking team Goalie: Bonham LB: Kelly LCH: Craig RCH: Clarke RB: Partington LM: Bennet LCM: Lines RM: Rodman RCM: Sercombe Striker 1: Payne Striker 2: Jakubiac. Bench: Reilly. Broadbent. Mathews. Baghdadi. Sinclair. Moore. Menayese I think that you have pretty much nailed the starting 11, i would maybe have Matthews instead of Rodman. No Sure what oldie means no width having named Bennet and Rodman yourself, both are wide players.

Quite a few have picked a side without James Clarke in. I think it'd be harsh to drop him completely given he's probably been our most consistent defender this season, even if he hasn't been spectacular.
I know Bonham gets a lot of credit for our improvement at the back this season and rightly so, but I think Clarke's return to fitness has helped that as well. Although I do understand that he doesn't offer much going forward as a fullback/

Fingers crossed for the win. UTG!

You say that, but I've seen every home game although just QPR away and don't think I've seen him have a poor one yet. I'd play him alongside Craig. A bit harsh on Clarke who I agree is having a very good season, but that's football. Good to have some depth anyway. I'd be happy to see Clarke at right back too as an alternative to Partington and because I think he's better tham Leadbitter.

We will have to keep a close eye on Oxford loanee Marcus Browne, speedy and skilful From Oxford's forum on the news they've lost reserve strike Jon Obika to an ACL injury this week: "we have 2 fit strikers, one 20 years old (Brown?) and hasn't even got 30 first team appearances the other 33 (Mackie?) and struggles too last most games and keep fit" Assuming that info is correct then if we can't win on Saturday we really are in big trouble.

Just read that in LEAGUE GAMES ONLY DC has made 43 changes in 13 games!! Yes even he doesn't know his best team. But even if we put in a good performance with a healthy win on Saturday I bet he would still make several changes for the next match it's just the frustrating nature of the guy. Frustrating? It's been a pretty successful approach over the last four years! Surely different opposition presents different challenges. Why wouldn't you use different qualities within a squad to address those challenges? Why have a squad otherwise? This is an extreme example, but say you have two strikers vying for a place. Striker A is lightening quick but doesn't like a battle; Striker B is slow but will get stuck in for the cause. Striker A scores one week against a slow defence but the following week the opposition are renowned for their uncompromising, physical style. Surely it makes sense to adopt a different approach and play Striker B instead?

Pretty sure in previous seasons we've usually been most successful post January when DC reverts to a settled side, not really sure what benefits changing the side actually brings, if it's to confuse our opponents then it's clearly not working if we're losing each each/never scoring!

If our frontline are still not scoring come January, DC May have to tell Stewy to kit up.

If it takes striker A, 3 minutes to empty a bath, how long will it take striker B to dig to Australia?
