Oh dear This is bad. Embarrassing. Finally Nichols scores and there is hope we can turn a corner, then we collapse. I’ve fully supported DC and continue to do so, I dread to think what the owners would do if he left..... their silence and lack of communication is what is killing this club, not DC DC now needs to act tough on the under performers and perhaps get a few of the Development squad in the team.... they can’t do any worse surely? Agree but you suggest bringing development players into the first team, only problem is the two that have been scoring in the reserve have just been put out on loan, a very odd decision, I told my daughter that our star striker has scored his first goal in 13 months and she burst out laughing, I think that sums us up at the moment. I can't see the club improving until we get a new board, I don't think existing board would get rid of DC as it would mean paying off his contract, at the moment the owners don't appear to want to put any money into the club. When interest came in for Ellis the club couldn't get rid of him quick enough and take the money, same could be said for Boden who went on the first day of the transfer window. At the moment it is take , take, take by the owners.

Is there anyone at the club to sack him. Pathetic foul payne gave away for their winning goal. Why bring on Lockyer when we needed a goal. Apart from being a cub Lockyer played a full game for wales last night and flew back 1800 miles. We had a last minute penalty a smith wanted to go up and got as far as the half line but was told to go back!

Bizarre moment Barnet sub their best player, he kicks the dugout and walks off. Gets a round of applause as he walks past the Thatchers end and chants of 'sign him on!' Yeah, one of the weirder substitutions. Pretty funny, though. The player was having a laugh, but I've got a feeling he'll be on the naughty step at training tomorrow. There is a youtube video of john still dishing out a half time rollicking from years ago,it a good watch. He wont like their players reaction tonight thats for sure.

How people can justify keeping DC even if we are relegated so he can rebuild us in league two is in my opinion ridiculous. I want to watch the team in league one or above and our results since January are quite simply relegation results. As far as I am concerned DC needs to go, this is a results game and he is failing miserably. The likes of Paul Hirst are still available and I do not accept there is no one out there better than DC as some on here continually claim. DC has assembled this squad, not the owners and it is he and not the owners who has failed to get results. As far as I am concerned the owners can sell the piece of land just off the M5 and use the money to pay off DC if they claim his contract is a stumbling block in attempting to sack him. My dreams of watching us in a new stadium are long gone, however I for one would sooner watch us in league one at the tumbledown Mem and would certainly not relish another spell in league two or perish the thought, the Conference. You need to understand that we are currently punching above our natural level. We are a league 2 club in all but name, playing at a higher level solely due to the fact that we have a quality manager who has consistently got the best from what he has. This is a watershed moment. He is under pressure and needs and deserves our support. I disagree. For the vast majority of my time supporting this club since 1957 we have been in league one as it is now, the Championship and a few years in League two as it is now and I will not mention the other league we spent a season in.

They don't pick the team that idiot of a manager does listen to others on here I dunno. I have lost faith to be honest. I still don't know if I want him to go I don't know that we could find anyone better and one day he will be great again but maybe not before we are relegated. I believe we are relegated either way so theres merit in keeping him as he knows his way out of league 2 at the right end. I wish the owners would get on with it and leave. I'm an emotional mess Midland what should I do? Have a beer and go to bed , no have more than a beer, cheer up things can only get worse, trouble is we won't feel any better in the morning from a hangover good night fellow gashead

Saw a rumour on twitter that Payne and Smith both told the fans to f**k off after the game. May be BS but wouldn’t be surpised. Can anyone confirm this? I think Smith had a 'few words' however, although most supporters near the tunnel were giving their opinion there were a couple who got a bit personal and abusive. Now don't start on the argument about people getting paid lots should handle it. There is only so much crap a human can take. Call them sh1t, fine but don't give abusive hand signals. I couldn't comment on Payne as didn't see it. If he did give some back was it over the top?

I have said it before but we look like a team that will struggle in league 2 if we get relegated. The team rebuild has been a complete failure sadly with the balance of the team all wrong and not one truly effective striker of league one standard at the club. The owners have simply vanished from sight and the manager has lost his way.
Ps..we over celebrated the goal tonight imo,we celebrated like we just scored the winner v man city.stupid! One tiny positive for me from a dreadful night was that rodman played well imo.

The majority of the team aren't good enough, and the owners' most notable achievement has been to have most of us believing that they'd saved the club when in reality they were just shoving it onto a dodgy life support machine. Getting rid of the manager who has seen us through two promotions and got us out of the Conference at the first attempt hardly seems like the answer and just goes to show how ridiculous the question has become - he's about all we've got that's ever shown proven success for us. Perhaps he really has lost the plot now, but that wouldn't be so surprising after he's watched a new stadium disappear into the glare of oncoming landing lights, seen a growing Colony of weeds referred to as our 'training ground' and had all his best players sold off to help fund all this (alleged) evolution.
If he ends up carrying the can then there are others who should be bearing the bulk of the weight before he does. Even if there are better alternatives than DC out there I can't really picture them wanting to come here after watching him being rewarded for his achievements by being fed BS by the owners and having the fans calling for him to be gone as soon as he encounters real difficulties.

At the end of the day.... We lost. Would have been great to have a nice little cup run.
We have, hopefully our health and long lives to look forward too.
Lets look forward to our next game.... It's gonna be tough.
You have a simple choice... Go forever shopping on a Saturday and never cheers the lads again in your life.

Not sure what the fuss is about ... everyone's been talking about a BR-exit for ages so we should have expected it! Especially given our penchant for losing at home to non-league opposition. I'd rather lose at home to Barnet than lose at home to Stockport and with our record in this competition we never stood a cat in hells chance of beating both of them.

Likewise. In my 40 odd years we have traditionally been a League 1 club who had the occasional spell in the Championship. However, that was then. Performance on tbe pitch is increasingly dictated by the finance off it and we are sadly lacking in that department. Our more recent history since 2000 would support the view that League 2 is the norm for us. We have potential to be more than that and I suspect that is what the Al-Qadi's bought into, however without the investment we are a League 2 club who will have the odd season in League 1, as we are now. Equally, the fifth tier also beckons, but until the powers that be see sense and increase the number of promotion places from that league, that will be increasingly difficult to get.out of.

Just watched the highlights has to be said the ref should be demoted to the downs league after that penalty decision. At the very least it was a corner but it has to be one of the most blatant fouls from a keeper I've seen for a while.

I agree it's not good enough but we hit the woodwork 3 times in the first game and had yet another blatant penalty turned down.
