Theresa May is going to sign this god awful document even though she knows the majority of the country would be against it.....When this comes into law then it will become a criminal offence to question immigration policy in any country that has signed up.An opinion poll in France says that 80% of French people do not want their country to accept more migrants but Macron doesn't give a sh** about his people....Trump has flatly refused to sign (if only we had a leader like him) as have most Eastern European nations and Italy.
The people who were talking about the Kalergi plan and the Barcelona declaration were labelled conspiracy theorists and nutjobs it turns out they were correct and the whole western world will go to hell in a handcart...I bet Oldie and his right on PC chums who despise this country and its history are having multiple sex wees at the thought of the third world invading and turning each and every country signed up into a replica of the shitholes they left behind.

Amazing also that if I disagree with them that it translates into despising my own country. A traitor most likely. I wonder what my punishment will be?

It is a pact not a treaty and is therefore not legally binding. It won't become law so your views are quite safe.

Canada has half the population of Britain but over twenty times the land mass. They have the room this little island of ours doesn’t and quite frankly don’t need a mass invasion of immigrants. Sort out the benefits system, the people are already here to do the jobs. Train them.

The whole concept of importing people to do work, while paying others to sit on their arses at home is flawed.

No government since 1979 has shown any inclination to do so. If May gets booted and we get one of the ERG as PM, then with their economic theories, No chance. In the interim what is private, free market based businesses supposed to do? Easy to highlight the obvious, bit more difficult to present a solution.

Importing people who have no intention of working or contributing and adding to the housing, education and health service problems we already have is certainly not the answer.....Germanys welfare bill is astronomical after welcoming people who have no skills and no desire to work.People who are raping and pillaging their way through Europe is a no no and the majority of people in Europe are against it.

It really is black and white but successive governments have turned a blind eye like they have since the ridiculous housing boom of the late nineties and the forming of housing associations instead of council owned properties. They say there was a housing shortage, there still is apparently, so why let so many people buy up houses to rent at high rates? To take the pressure off housing associations and reduce housing benefits? The country hasn’t and will never recover from that era of the nineties and early 20s.

I agree with your basic point!! Local authority run housing is the solution. In 1979 we built 400,000 houses. 200,000 of which were local authority. But you realise how this all stopped? Maggie T. Didn't believe in Government involvement in markets, and cut off the funding to local authorities by stopping them from borrowing. Never recovered, you could argue that this was a fatal undermining of local democracy.

The theory of selling off older rented properties to those that had rented for years thus owning their own properties was a very good and rewarding idea as that would be the only way low income earners would be able to buy a property. The problem arose when these properties were not replaced and ownership was handed over to housing associations. I’m not so sure you are right about Maggie stopping local authorities from borrowing, more s coincidence 😉

Luckily when you and your supremely white friends sweep to power under the popular vote, rape with be a thing of the past. It's a proven fact that no true Brit has ever committed any crime ever. But the point regarding the sell off is very valid.

By not replacing the housing stock the supply dried up and therefore inflated prices.
With the value of properties rising it allowed owners to gain from both a feel good factor and provided a source of equity to borrow, which in turn drove the economy. Since the 1980s the UK economy has grown largely by cheap credit.
It would be a risk to any government to boost house building back to what it used to be in case it caused prices to fall, leaving people in negative equity and reduces consumer confidence.
We should empower local government to compulsory purchase empty stock (empty for say 12 months but at a fair market rate) and incentivise owners of large properties to downsize.
Any funds raised from the selling of local government properties should be used to buy or build new properties.

The problem is that building houses is a money-loser for any local council. The cost of building and maintaining a house is not recouped for many many years. Plus, politicians are generally not around that long (either local or national). They only worry about the short-term ie. while they are in office or require your vote. So, local politicians are not going to spend money on a loss-making scheme while they are in office, because if the local council lose too much money, then we vote them out !
