Such a weird one as even if DC goes I don’t think anyone else will be able to get something out of this side.
Shocking squad who’s only quality has been continually sold by the board.

To be fair I don't think it's the players aren't playing for him (what do I know maybe it is) I just think they are sh**e. So you have to look at budget and recruitment but who in their right mind thinks yeah I'll pop this guy who cant score upfront again, he's on form. 60 times. Utterly depressing alLround, assuming DC goes whoever comes in will have the same players to work with as there will be no money so no change to the results.

Don't see any point in him going hopefully he will reflect and learn some lessons.

If I were DC I would go ~ he's had no support from the owners, the stadium and training ground are a pipe dream and he deserves better

Using that logic there are 8 other positions in the bottom 12, why are we in the 4 that matter? You can't let DC off for the strikers he paid good money for. It's not like he was forced to sign Joe Bloggs from Dog and Duck FC on a free, he spent 500k and got it so badly wrong it makes you want to cry. Actually scratch that, Jamie cureton is playing in the lower leagues and even at his age he could do a better job than the two strikers DC spunked a good portion of his budget on. Throw in Mensah, 80k of player who can't get a game in the league below. He was hamstrung at putting together a promotion challenging side but he has patently failed at putting even a less than average squad together. No excuses With all due respect, £530k across 2.5 seasons is an absolute pittance in this league if you are serious about pushing the top 10 if you believe our leaders. especially when you have collected 1.7m in those years. Especiallt when you are giving away assets that net you the total of60 goals a season for peanuts and wasting money on offices in London. Where did I mention top 10? 500k on two strikers should give us enough to keep you out of the relegation zone surely? Show me where the teams 5 or 6 places above us have spent that sort of money on a strike partnership? If people are expecting a promotion push under these owners then they are quite frankly deluded but what has been spent could and should have been better spent than on being in the last 4 and tonked at home by Doncaster. How that can even be debated is beyond me.

The win at Blackpool was definitely a fluke. With most teams it would have been a springboard towards an improvement. Something very wrong within the Club but no word from the ITK's.

There are some good players in the squad, and as I and many have said on other threads if we play people in the right positions, and add a big centre half, and a big centre forward, plus possibly a decent winger than we can get out of this. It all depends on whether the Board will allow the funds for these signings, our head of recruitment can find the right players, and DC plays them in the right positions!

Nichols although not prolific got into double figures in every full season before he signed here. Its the Rovers curse.

Would any of us walk away from a long contract with a mortgage to pay. He is waiting to be asked to step aside. All we can do it wait I’m afraid.

DC being stubborn again with our weakest strike force... I know the club sold the best players but that’s football and every club goes through that but there was good enough players out there we could have gone for... Telford not being bought for peanuts was one Slocombe had enough of doing nothing wrong then being dropped Adam Smith is awful and never should have been bought Nicholls enough said Payne lazy and shocking attitude( I read shrews forum when he left and 90% said he was lazy and nothing lost) Craig not good enough to be pushing for mid to top 6 spots Bennett finishing is very bad and shocking decision making Rodman not given a run and on his way down
Byron Moore had so much criticism for looking the weakest link a few seasons ago and now he would look one of our better players...
So many need to get rid of that aren’t worth a pint and pastie let alone money And money needs to be spent decent players with the right attitude Instead of panic buys in the journeyman bargain basket

Utterly depressing alLround, assuming DC goes whoever comes in will have the same players to work with as there will be no money so no change to the results. Keeping DC and prepping for L2 feels like a realistic plan. How has it come to this? Because we have Owners who have effectively withdrawn their support for the last 18 months and DC has been hung out to dry, water poor and disgusting behaviour in my view.
