Not a classic first half but Bonham and the back 4 looking solid, Kelly still learning but showing good application.
Upson and Sercombe looking a class above the opposition but need to command the game more.
Rodman looking dangerous, Payne started well but gone off the boil - weak attempt when put through on Goal.
Linesy starting to get into the game more, Matthews busy and enthusiastic.
Hope we can win this to keep the momentum going and confidence up regardless of the fact that the format of the competition sucks a bit.

I see that Man City U21's (at Rochdale) tonight, and Chelsea U21's (home v Posh) tomorrow both kick off at 7pm. The kids have to be tucked up in bed by 9pm? Not sure why it doesn't apply to Newcastle kids at Sunderland tonight though. Because U21s up north are more like 40 year olds 😂 |
