Worrying home form equals relegation
No goals equals relegation
It’s such a shame after the good work of the last 4 years but it looks like we are going down
Someone posted such a good post earlier, we can ALL see from the terraces we need a commanding centre half, a winger and a striker... the fact that we aren’t linked to any player says it all. The time to act was when Harrison was sold. A big statement of intent was needed and the £750,000 re invested immediately. The boards lack of ambition has been evident for some time, Daryll sensibly got out in time for his own sake..... shame.

That was utterly dreadful, if that's a sign of things to come we will struggle in League 2 next season. Embarrassing really.

That was unadulterated rubbish today. We were second to every ball, and when it looked like we were getting away one of their players went down feigning injury and the ref fell for it every time, calling the trainer on and allowing them to break up the play and slow any momentum we had. He may have added 5 mins to each half, but Wyckscum achieved their aim of stopping us playing. They obviously came for a point and couldn't believe their luck when they scored, and from an unnecessary corner.
They sat back to protect their lead, and our useless bloody players ran about like headless chickens and made it sp easy for them.
I hate football sometimes.

Just got home with the family, that was awful on every department, how on earth can anybody on that pitch today say they are professional at what they do, if I did my job as bad as what I witnessed ill be out of the door instant, shocking is an understatement, why on earth cant they even pass a ball, many a times I've said to myself that's the worst performance I've seen in players in a Rovers shirt, well today it reached a new level, I certainly wont be wasting my time and money watching utter rubbish being put on display, they are easily a division below Wycombe in every position on the pitch ,they didn't want it, and why on earth did it take 85minutes of humping it up from the back to front think was going to work, the management couldn't even realise what everyone around me was shouting, keep the ball on the ground and play football, utter rubbish and in all honestly I can't see where its going to get better with this squad of players, I suppose that's what evolution means..

Dare I say it, but if we have started playing hoofball in our ramshackle stadium with our cheap option manager perhaps the metamorphosis into the league one version of Crazy Gang era Wimbledon is finally complete?
Ah well,at least the board managed to see one thing that they planned come to fruition.

Nearly every home performance has been the same this season , yet we have turned in a few decent away performances, save for the Donny game we dont concede a lot at home so all we have to do is create and score a couple , job done , so why is it so difficult?the same rotation of midfield has been applied all season and they create little or nothing, so for Christ sake try something/one new! ITS time to try fringe players like Baghdadi, Russe, Moore and co and sign the trialist we tried against F G, WHATS THERE TO LOSE? you cant keep playing a combination of the same players every weak, they have grown to accustomed to failure , i dont wanna here 'you cant through young players into a relegation battle', they are not kids ,some of them are 20+, if they cant handle it they aint gonna make it are they!you cant keep 'developing' them till there to bloody old so PLAY THEM! come on gas ! we can still do this!!!

Haven't seen a game as bad as that for a long time - I thought that James Clarke was the only player to emerge with a shred of credibility. Dark times ahead I fear.

Well today like many saturdays i had to decide to i go and see my home team or watch the team where i grew up, bath city, i chose bath as apart from seeing old faces and hopefully beating torquay and that shithead johnson i knew the bath lads would fight and work like dogs for the shirt, a good board, good fans as many will know and playing good football, i love rovers but sadly after forty plus years not much drags me over to bs7, poor ground, poor team and a board that seem happy for us to be relegated.

Genuine question
Didn't go today and couldn't get radio commentary. Read this whole thread to get an idea of how we were doing...
Was it really that bad? The comments on here are consistently bad and very worrying.
Given that this entire season (even several of the GC games) has been pretty awful at home, is there any chance we almost need to rely on away games? And that reactions to home games need to almost be taken with a pinch of salt?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting it's good (it isn't!) but concerned over (a) possible over-reactions, both positive and negative, directly after games, and (b) that home fans are being alienated by these performances. They say you should always keep your home fans happy. And of course this won't fully filter through until next season ST sales so the board get a bit of a free ride this season.

It's been awful at home for a good 12 months.
My ST for next year is very much in the balance.
My boy definitely doesn't want one as he's only used his twice this season.

Looking at swindon’s Forum and quite a few saying Broadbent looks their best defender and great signing and the opposite on here for craig and locks... What this squad needs is the impossible now as it’s needing too much of a restructure as what dc and ms has left us with is a lot of league 2 mid to low table standard vertically challenged players In reality we need shot of Nichols/payne/Craig/Bennett/Smith/upson/Mathews/ Lockyer/partington and replace them with quality proven players How many full internationals do you expect to sign to replace the current one ? I don’t care he’s a international as he’s a lot of the problem with his distribution... International doesn’t mean great player, gosling was a international, there’s loads of bad international players out there

I can’t see why GC is taking the blame tbh? I knew this would happen when we lost a game under him, the team selection seemed ok and played 442 which slot of people wanted it was just the movement and quality on the ball that cost us today

My overall feeling from today was not one of the annoyance at the loss but rather the fact I wished I’d gone down Twerton instead! Says it all really...

All this stick with the same team nonsense because we were on an unbeaten run.
We need a manager who treats every game as a new project and rotates the squad.

Trust you are taking the chance to turn it into an appropriate aldult movie? The words stripping/missus/bedroom certainly sounds more attractive than anything else on offer today That's how I didn't go in the first place ! Thought it was funny when she walked in with a scraper, a ladder and some recycling bags but then I never did work s&m out. So, stripping over. Go Tuesday or stay home and watch paint dry ?

I knew this would happen when we lost a game under him, the team selection seemed ok and played 442 which slot of people wanted it was just the movement and quality on the ball that cost us today We don’t have good enough central midfielders to play 442. It was obvious for all to see that was the key problem. We surrendered the midfield, defence forced to go long as no one wanted the ball in midfield, second to all the loose balls, strikers isolated. At times there wasn’t a rovers player within 10 yards of the centre circle, 2 defensive midfielders back with the defence, the wingers pushing up with the strikers. The shape was 604 GC should have sorted it but he didn’t. We don’t do 442 well, we don’t have the CMs for it, especially without Sercs.
