Is that why Jakubiak is better than Payne, and Sinclair is better than Lines? astafjevs is pretty handy too at 22 points, jakubiak is worth a huge 25 points..... Any other takers on gas players with the highest scrabble score? 23 for a Zebroski

Beswetherick gets a cool 26 points.... Yes I know it's more than 8 letters so is technically void....
Did he actually ever play even?

"His only appearance for the club was in a League Cup game against Norwich City at Carrow Road, when he started the game but was substituted after 59 minutes, in what ended as a 1–0 defeat for the Pirates."

On an alternative note I can't think of a score lower than antonios 5 with lines. I equalled it with Leoni (which is pretty close to an anagram)....

Trees for 5, as well, which with Lines is also a legit Scrabble word. Wonder what player is the most points and an actual legit Scrabble word?

Good to read some honest assessment of Nicholls performance. I thought he was a cut above what we saw from Payne and Jakubiak on Saturday. Held the ball up, neat control, good penalty a number of passes that should have led to 'assists' and unlucky to hit the post. Generally that is summed up negatively focused purely on his failing to score.
I accept he needs goals but he remains far more gifted a footballer than Payne, Reilly and Jakubiak.
We played some neat football last night and having players like Lines, Bennett and Nicholls in the team allowed us to do so.

Bennet always looks the business on the ball like he’s going to do something class but rarely does , he hasn’t got a football brain. Plenty of Pompey fans said exactly that when he left them to be fair they’ve been proven ( is that a word ?) right. Proven would net you a whopping 11 points in a game of Scrabble.... I’d never come up with that , it’s not a rude word.

At home to a poor side we played without any of our most creative players. No surprise we created very little.
