Only followed Rovers for 15 years or so now but I can’t ever remember a time with 9/8 games to go where 12/13 teams are still in with a very realistic chance of being relegated?
Our goal difference could be our saving grace but it’s a right mix of teams on the up and teams slipping down the league. I haven’t felt this kind of pressure since the league 2 promotion battle.

Stupidly I've been feeling confident as of late. Right now there are so many teams between us and relegation we can feel a degree of safety because it's impossible we'd drop immediately into the relegation zone.
However, 2 bad games would see us in the bottom 4 without doubt.
I reckon we'll survive, but the way this is going, 50 points will not be enough to secure safety. I can see it easily being 55

I think Wycombe may well fall into it, they seem to be annoying every club they play with their antics, and I'm not sure having a manager who wants you to fall over with every challenge can give the team a great spirit.

Crazy battle at the moment. It's amazing to think we could effectively/realistically finish 22nd or 12th. Hopefully (obviously) we climb as high as possible for the small increase in prize money for final finishing position.

Look at their current form I have bored my mates for weeks saying they are going down and richly deserved

Charlton fans think exactly the same of us if their posts are anything to go by!!

The answer is NO. Ive seen us in a few relegation scrapes over 40 odd years but nothing like this. But, I'm confident we'll pull away - our form suggests it and some other teams are really struggling. You have to think the bottom 2 are going down because they are adrift and rarely winning.

3 points Saturday wouldn't go amiss.

You’d suspect Southend are bankers for the drop, on current form. They’ve won 3 matches since December 15th & the last of those was NYD!
They have to play 5 of the sides in the relegation mix between now and the final day, where they host.....Sunderland.

Final game should be interesting. Hope not - a nice relaxing dead rubber in the sunshine will do me with our safety already assured.

This is going to go right down to the wire. A few games ago, AFC Wimbledon were rock bottom. but due to good results over the last 6 games, the now stand a chance of getting out the bottom 4. But things wont be easy for the gas looking at our fixtures. If only we can get this horrible home form sorted, we can survive.

I'm convinced Southend are going down. They are sleep walking their way to relegation. Teams like us and Plymouth have been down their all season so have got to grips with battling it. Southend have been top half for a lot of the season and now all of a sudden find themselves in this relegation battle.
I can't see us going down but a bit worried with Lockyer missing on Saturday.

Hopefully (obviously) we climb as high as possible for the small increase in prize money for final finishing position. I think I read somewhere that it's shared equally these days. I think it was top money for promotion, next for play off winners, then shared amongst the others & relegation gets less again. Could be wrong though

If GC keeps us up, do we want him to stay and build?
Yes from me.

It's an extraordinary relegation battle, I too can't remember anything else like it.
3 points separating the entire bottom half from the drop zone.
On form you'd think that Wycombe and Southend are in big trouble, but there's still time for both to turn it around. A couple of weeks back Walsall and Accy looked doomed, and Wombles dead and buried, but all 3 have surprisingly turned it around.
Who'd have thought we'd get 10 points out of the last 12?
We still have a massive job on our hands and I can see it needing to be a very high points total to be safe. 54 or 55 at least.

Everyone else are picking up decent wins all over the shop, maybe with the exception of Bradford. Winning at Home Park on Saturday for the first time in what feels like forever, will put me at a little bit more ease.
