hes been sh** all season it’s like he’s on Valium,so slow Get rid for next season Gone off the boil in the last few games but saying he’s been sh** all season is harsh and untrue. There always has to be a scapegoat doesn’t there. he hasn’t boiled all season he’s been Luke warm at best, his energy has completely gone he looks like a player in his mid thirties No scapegoat it’s a fact, been watching every week Clarke and lines should be out next season, better midfielders in l2

Well that's my unbeaten run gone. Quite happy to start the Luton match thread and try and resurrect our fortunes on Saturday. Having said that and seen Wilks tear us apart tonight, it's anybody's guess what Luton's speed merchants will do to us on Saturday. UTG! Luton's No 7 is the one to watch.... plays on the left After tonight i would drop THD and put Kelly back in

Since he joined us he has always looked a far better player when played on the left of midfield in front of the fullback. In an interview he gave he said he much preferred playing left back!

Deon Moore coming on for AJ Congratulations on making your debut lad. Didn't see much of the ball - too much hoofball in the last 15 - a bit strange to fathom that.

Dunno but it was clear after 10 minutes that he’d got it wrong and should have brought sercombe and Nichols on for Jakubiak and Reilly. It would have left us with one sub left . Rather than that it’s over an hour in and he hasn’t made a single change. I like 95% of what Cogs has done so far but his tactics and team selection in a couple of games has been beyond belief. I agree. Should’ve changed it as soon as it went to 2-0, or no later than 5-10 mins after that. Everyone else around me seemed to see it, why GC couldn’t is beyond me. I agree that he’s done a superb job up to now, but he’s had an absolute stinker tonight. what about the players - you can't legislate for Bonham and HD - not up to standard tonight plus a few in midfield too.

So move him forward and put Kelly behind him, as I suggested pre-match, I would have thought that was a better option than bringing in both Reilly & Jak, tonight was a game to go 4-4-2 to match Donny not some strange line up with 3 CM's & 3 strikers.

I understand why GC went for it -Donnie on a big wobble with no wins in 7 BUT you need your keeper and defenders to be sharp - they were the complete opposite !

Yes THD had a very poor game. Think Bonham should’ve done better with the first but don’t know if he could’ve done anything about the others. There was a lot of poor individual performances but I thought it was the system that let us down tonight. Reilly and Jak didn’t seem to know where they were supposed to be and every time we cleared the ball it went straight to one of their players who had acres of space in the middle of the park. It just looked like there were gaps all over the pitch which I can only put down to the formation.

I f you can't pass the ball to a team mate then no formation will help you.I thought our best 3 players were - jak, Reily and JCH - who all did pretty well with what they got - the rest were Dam awful !!

THD was nursing a knock and on a yellow. Sub made perfect sense. Don’t need suspensions at this stage of the season.
Donny showed massive defensive frailties, we could also have had 4 or 5. I worry Walsall could expose these. They were always going to dominate possession but we conceded goals that we haven’t seen, since, well the reverse fixture.
No panic stations, back to another bonus game on Saturday.
Now isn’t the time to criticise or point fingers. The players wil need us there on Saturday and I’ll be cheering them on, especially Ollie.

Clearly formation change was an error, players never turned up first half did not help either, hope GC resorts back to a diamond Saturday, midfield was the main problem tonight, I predicted a defeat but the manner of the especially first half was disappointing to say the least, don't expect to get much return on Saturday, but didn't expect much from these two matches, because the gulf between us and the top 6 or 7 clubs is a massive gap, something GC have to discuss with the board next season, only time will tell

We’ll have to agree to disagree then. I thought Reilly was completely ineffective, likewise Jak in the first half but he did get involved a bit more in the second. JCH was our best player but every time he won a ball in the air it was to nobody because the midfield were too deep and the other two up top were nowhere near him. At least with the usual system he has Nichols playing off him and Sercs at the top of the diamond to offer support as well.

Madness to change the system and go with three strikers. A needless and crazy gamble which cost us big time tonight.
GC had a mare.

Expected a loss tonight though not the drubbing we got and tbh I can only see another loss Saturday. That leaves us six games to get 8 points suddenly it's looking tense again..
