I am not a Farage 'supporter'. He has his faults and he has made mistakes. However, when you look at the total ineptitude of the current set-up is it any wonder that voters are looking for something else? Seriously, by attacking Farage and the Brexit Party, are you saying that you are happy with the current set-up? Farage and the Brexit Party may not be the answer, but for the love of Christ, anything has to be better than what we currently have with both Labour and the Tories. That's where we disagree. People said anything is better than what we have in America and voted for Trump The reality Hugo, is that if there were another election in the US tomorrow, Trump would win again.

I'm consistently surprised by the amount of support Trump gets. I see Farage as the same really. It's just americanisation of the UK surely

He would. Same as if we had a second referendum I would not at all be surprised if leave won again. Populism is winning sadly

The reality Hugo, is that if there were another election in the US tomorrow, Trump would win again. this is it. He would. Same as if we had a second referendum I would not at all be surprised if leave won again. Populism is winning sadly What is this 'populism'? Is that the same as Labour never asking a question in PMQ's about Climate Change for the last four years, yet one demonstration in London has them calling for declaring a Climate Emergency. Isn't that just knee-jerk 'populist' politics? Also, I would not call the largest turn-out for a vote in British political history as 'populism'.

So I struggle to see how you couldn't see that in our politics today. Trump did it (even though he is one of the elite), Farage does it (even though he is too), and people lap it up.

It's not so much people 'lap it up', it's more to do with the fact people are fed-up with the 'same old same old'. Trump v Clinton. Clinton represented the 'same old same old'. Trump was/is not a politician. He said some outrageous things. Under Trump, the economy is booming, unemployment is down, taxes are down. His negotiating methods mean that he will not allow his country to be bullied by anyone else. He says what he means, and he tries to implement the things he says. Rightly or wrongly. Compare that to our politicians who can talk for years and deliver nothing, in fact, they are attempting to deliver something that nobody voted for with their version of Non-Brexit. They are actively working against the wishes of the electorate. We do know the current set-up of Tories and Labour will say one thing, then do the opposite. We know they lie to us. Will Farage and the Brexit Party do the same? We don't know, but at least we should give them a try, after all, we know what we will get with the current set-up. If you are happy with the Con/Lab/Lib arrangement, then carry on and vote for one of them. I suspect that the majority of the voting public are sick to the back teeth of them.

No Bags, they are not thick. Yes, yes they are. Then just look at who we voted in over the years. Does that make us thick as well?

People are already starting to chant 'lock her up' and 'drain the swamp' at his events. Hes smart dont get me wrong, he has played everyone like a fiddle ensuring that if they deliver Brexit it will be seen as a betrayal and if they dont deliver Brexit it will be seen as a betrayal. But he was complicit he promised loads that never came true and then disappeared off the face of the earth after the vote whilst collecting his tidy EU wages. My question really I suppose is how on earth he is seen as the answer to the viable alternative they are searching for? Maybe people are looking at that dog sh** after all.

Just reading now about how he regularly appeared on a far right talk show in America discussing the new world order associated with antisemitic tropes. Also just read the communist party are backing him and his party too.
Thing is we hear all of this anti left rhetoric about Corbyn and whatnot but now we go off and vote for this guy? It's exactly like trump all that sh** about women and Russia and you know what, people that started by preaching principle soon abandon them once they find their demigod. They dont really care about all that. All is forgiven Nigel, enter us.
It's just so depressing

Keep knocking him, and you'll keep missing the point He was not part of the official Leave Campaign so I'm not sure where the 'promised loads' and then 'disappeared' comments come from.
