Yes there was a lot of hype over the India v Pakistan match but in the end it wasn’t even close. The match of the competition will likely be England v India, two very good teams. Both teams batsmen in very good form and bowlers bowling well. One of the things that’s really surprised me is that the number of teams winning the toss, putting th opposition in and then getting stuffed. Today why did Pakistan let India bat first? Yes the weather was a bit uncertain but so far in this tournament history is showing that if you win the toss and your batsmen are in form then bat. Scores between 300-350 are winning scores. I know it’s a 10.30 start but even so it seems strange. England, I hope, have learnt the lesson after the Pakistan match, win the toss and bat.

Bizarre decision by Kohli yesterday. I`m all for the batsman walking, but not when he hasn`t hit it.

Crikey, Morgan has just hit a century in sixes!
One of the best ODI innings I have seen.
We really are blessed with so much talent.
We should win this by 200 runs & with 15 overs remaining.

What a sh** day of sport, watch us get beaten by Sri Lanka, then watch the U21's get embarrassed!

What a sh** day of sport, watch us get beaten by Sri Lanka, then watch the U21's get embarrassed! England do have these days where they tend to forget just what has made them so good. They just retreated into their shells again. Not once did any batsman attempt to dominate the bowling. Not once did any of them attack, apart from Stokes when it was too late. As for the U21's, Foden on the bench in a must win game? After his goal the other night?

Wow, England have pulled this back. At 173-1 Australia looked as though they were going to post a huge total.....Now they are 259-7 with 16 balls to bat !

O'Dear, looking more & more difficult for us to qualify.
Just unbeaten New Zealand and an excellent India to play, have to win at least one, maybe both to qualify for semi's.

Who have we got that actually constructs an innings, apart from Root and possibly Stokes? Bairstow, Buttler, Morgan, Moeen, Rashid, Woakes et al, fling the bat at everything, and when it comes off we`re unbeatable, and when it doesn`t we`re unwinnable.

How do you think we'll get on tomorrow Nobby? Basically 4 knock out games for us if we're to go all the way.
Surly India having already qualified will still play their strongest team, beat us and they'll probably knock us out.
Don't know which way to call it, just depends which England turns up.
Its starting to look what people say about us is correct, we're flat-track bullies. On a nice flat pitch, we go all out with our attacking players, as soon as the conditions or pitch gives us something different we can't seem to cope.

A small part of me wanted to be put out of my misery and lose today rather than prolong the agony of an embarrassing exit for a few more days. Soon banished that thought and feeling a bit more confident going into Wednesday now. Getting off to a flyer with Roy back in the side makes such a difference, being a wicket down for a few runs every time Vince plays just puts us on the back foot. If today's XI stay fit we may do well(?).

If today's XI stay fit we may do well(?). Roy is key. Because he scores quickly he takes the pressure off Bairstow. I think we should beat NZ, they are a good honest team but England should have the extra quality. Archer has fulfilled his write up's but worried about Morgan.

India never seriously tried to chase down England`s total. Always behind the run rate, despite having wickets in hand. Their defeat means that it`s now more difficult for Pakistan to qualify for the knockout stages. Just a thought.
