Dreadful negative performance. Coughlan always sets up for a 0-0 imo, reminds me of ian atkins but not as good.

Absolutely shocking, glad I didn’t purchase a season ticket. £20 down the f**king drain. Unless JCH can magically score goals out of nowhere then we’re nailed on L2 already. Abysmal. Player wise 3 CDM’s at home is a disgrace, Davies looked good as did Victor. Leahy I’ve only seen twice but looks a liability, definitely no better than Kelly. Don’t recall a shot on target in the second half which is simply unacceptable. Coughlan needs to have a long hard look at the tactics he’s employing if he still wants a job come Christmas. Nailed on for L2 already are we? Hm, that's interesting considering: The transfer windows not closed yet Bolton and Bury are both almost certainly going down Wimbledon have lost their first 3 games Southend just lost 3-1 at home to 10 man Blackpool. Not to mention Peterborough and Tranmere both look awful (although Peterborough won't go down). Unless 7 teams are going down this season I can't at all wonder why we're already nailed on for relegation. Wimbledon have only played 2 games x

Didn’t think we were that bad. But we weren’t that great either. Nice to be able to enjoy a game of football again (poor refereeing / cheating aside) Nobody had a bad game, but nobody had a good one either. I thought Victor looked a tidy player and think if we can get a few decent midfielders in we will do alright this year. Our defence seems strong as last year but the players GC has bought in seem to be able to pass better. Frustrated with the supporters who are keen to write off Hare and Leahy during their first home performance. HAHAHHAHAAHAHAHA did you even go to the game?? Please can you explain where there was poor officiating or ‘cheating’? We were terrible, just admit it without having to blame external factors like the ref On the flip side did you go to the game? The whole ground wasn’t chanting ‘Same old Wycombe, always cheating’ for a laugh. I’m not saying that it cost us the game, we did that by not being good enough. But the ref blowing up every marginal decision and allowing them to wind down the clock is not something I go down the Mem to ‘enjoy’ Some examples: The goalkeepers dramatics after Ollie Clarke breezed past him. Akinfenwa attacking Tom Davies and getting away with it Numerous other fake injuries Shirt pulling and pushes all over the place, then the ref giving the decision the other way The right back moving 10-15 yards up the pitch every throw in yet the ref getting arsey with our players and making them take throw ins from the precise spot Like I say, didn’t cost us the game but if you enjoy watching it then fair play to you. I’d rather the crap we see in the modern game and playacting was kicked out.

My point still stands though, mr nicholshadtheworstperformanceihaveeverseen, just change the 3 to a 2 if it helps you sleep.

I think we really need something that we have been crying out for for months tbh, a creative midfielder so that JCH and Moore, who I think would be great with him up top at home, can feed off, Wycombe spoiled the game today coupled with the ref who I think was Brett Huxtable with a mask on!...a win even with a scrappy goal will give us a lift..but I could not fault the effort today with difficult conditions..always UTG

Just listened to GC’s post match and I understand he can’t come out and berate them publicly after the second game but genuinely what game was he watching?!

ALTERNATIVE MATCH REPORT:
GAME: Did exactly what it said on the tin - 2 poor sides, 1 trying to play football ( poorly with no creativity) 1 the usual time wasting cheating bastards.
BRISTOL ROVERS- Couldn’t score in a brothel. WYCOMBE- Same old orrible Lady Gardens.
MANAGER: On drugs for selecting that team at home.
REFEREE- Homo.
NEGATIVES- having to watch the Gas sober today because I was driving, only 2 pints consumed today. ( holy f**k!)
POSITIVES- not driving on Tuesday so session on and then things don't seem too bad! + meeting the FFS boys.
OUTLOOK- Sign a couple of players at least or were f**ked! Plus side- Unbeaten at home at no goals conceded.
Good night and thanks.

Two poor sides in poor conditions so I thought a 0-0 draw was about the right result. We ran out of ideas going forward, especially in the second half, there's just no creative talent or drive in a midfield consisting of Ogogo, Upson, O Clarke and Sercombe, it's an area we need to address asap otherwise we won't score enough goals or get much service to the strikers. On the positive side I was impressed with Davies, pretty much dealt with everything that came his way and Hare looked like a good prospect at Right Back and put in some lovely crosses.
I just hope Coughlan now recognises our inadequacies and brings in what we need in the remainder of the transfer window, if we are struggling to break down Wycombe at home, that should be a real sign to him that we need strengthening in certain areas.

Can’t be just me who didn’t think Wycombe were that bad?
Agree they didn’t try to play good football, horrible and couldn’t pay to watch that every week, but they looked dangerous when Akinfenwa held the ball up, for all the stick he gets he’s a great link up player at this level.

Very strange interview with GC...kept saying lay off the players as if he was directing the attention at them! I can only remember 2 songs being sang the whole of the first half And the reason for being so flat was the line up at 2pm being awful.. Aggo and upson doesn’t work..upson isn’t league one material in my eyes and very lucky to be playing at this standard still. Nichols against the wycombe back four was never going to work, Tom can’t leave the club saying he never had a chance, can you name another player that’s had the game time he’s had and not delivered what he was suppose to do. The recruitment being very defensive and no wide players or creative players, I would rather go down than watch this negative boring embarrassing football. The whole kit saga every year gets people down...it’s like we’re having the kits made by Mavis on her sewing machine and can only get out what she has time in between bingo!
Know one honestly feels what ever wael says as truth now and makes me feel embarrassed for him being carried down Gloucester Road like some messiah

Just listened to GC’s post match and I understand he can’t come out and berate them publicly after the second game but genuinely what game was he watching?! If GC seriously believes that was a good performance then that is worrying. We weren't poor all over the park. But that midfield of 4 CMs at home against a poor side is so negative. Adebejayo looked good. Nichols was nichols, but the strikers simply had nothing fed to them all game, Adebejayo created his own chances and was unlucky hitting the post.

A poor match this was not the expansive football we had hoped for. I thought the new kid up front did well, TN had one or two neat touches in the first half but lacks speed strength and stamina and doesn't have goals in him, the manager should not persist with him. All in all Rovers looked like a team of strangers playing against an ordinary side, the team needs strengthening

Blimey, the negativity is huge on this forum.
This is a game we would have lost by at least 2 goals under DC's management - the play might have been prettier to watch, but that's all.
The positives - Hare, Davies, NICHOLLS - (did nobody notice how many times he held the ball up, how many free kicks we got because Wycombe's only answer was to foul him.) Agogo dealt with the Wycombe midfield effectively - he's there to defend and that's what he did. Negatives - Jaakola looks a bit shaky, perhaps lost his nerve a bit after the error at Blackpool, but made a couple of decent saves. Ollie hasn't yet reached his top form, Sercombe likewise.
All in all, I thought the team did OK in dreadful conditions against a team with only one tactic. There was never a consistency about where any high balls would land due to the wind and our best spell was toward the end of the first half when we kept the ball on the ground for 10 minutes or so.
I'm reasonably sure that even without further signings we will finish mid-table, maybe higher if we get lucky with more signings. Perhaps the snake might fancy a loan spell with us!

That was as poor a game as any last season, watched two games now and our attacking play from midfield to front line has been very weak. Our movement off the ball to find space non existent, our midfield are so one paced they never support the strikers or make runs past the strikers. We need to improve our free kicks around the box as we rarely threaten from any delivery into the area. Long way to go, but please attack at home especially against teams that will be around us in the standings.

Disappointing turn out too I thought. The weather was a bit iffy but 7,668 on the first day of the season is poor, especially as Wycombe had a decent following included in that.

GC should be on the edge of his box screaming at them to get involved and wake up. The game passes them by. He should be livid...they have to create chances for the strikers and just don't do anything at all.
