Apologies if already mentioned but did I hear on the way out the crowd was only 7000ish? If correct that's very poor. Has to be our worst opening home game attendance for many years??
If we put on that display too often this season that will soon be down to 6000 :-(. Dreadful afternoon. Dismal.

Very poor performance. Defence was solid. IMO that was Ollies worst game in a few years. He was awful!!! Doesn’t and never has looked like a leader! Nichols looks disinterested. I have Ollie a 1 in the ratings and Nichols a 2. I thought Adeboyejo looked good, tried his best and got some shots away. GCs post match comments confuse me. Onto next week UTG!

If that is the standard of utter dross Gogs is going to serve up this season then the sooner we put him on a slow boat to Dublin the better.
Watching those players today the all had the same look on there collective faces - FEAR Gogs is a bully of the worst type, he has to go

Disappointing turn out too I thought. The weather was a bit iffy but 7,668 on the first day of the season is poor, especially as Wycombe had a decent following included in that. I was 50-50 on going today but as soon as I seen our line up it was a no from me and I know I wasn't the only one. Having watched us up Blackpool last week I wasn't going to waste anymore money until we get some decent f..king wingers/attacking midfielders in.

That was poor. We didn’t deserve to win & were up against it in the last 5/10 min. I thought GC said he wanted a more physical presence in the team & pace. I didn’t see any of that today. Did he also say he wanted more of a goal threat & more creativity? If so, he has failed on all four counts. The weather, could be used as an excuse, but was the same for both teams. The game was crying out for someone to put their foot on the ball & play it on the floor. We need to be able to break down teams like Wycombe, if we are serious about staying in this league. GC did a job last season, the football was horrible, he needs a chance, but if he thinks we played well today, then I fear there is no hope he will keep his job here.

Just a case of same sh**, different season, we’ve needed a creative midfielder since this time last year? But we’ve got no money, so that won’t happen. Brace yer self for another extremely long season 😩 We have a decent budget apparently, so unfair to say we've got no money. Managers / clubs make decisions on who they buy / get for free, and what wages are paid (Plus of course managers inherit some players) Everything in life is a decision.

Dreadful negative performance. Coughlan always sets up for a 0-0 imo, reminds me of ian atkins but not as good. I mentioned exactly this today..

GC happy with the way we did all the 'non-footballing' things today. Just need to concentrate on the football side of things now Cogs

Takes a year or so to build up a reputation / positivity, but also takes a year or so to lose it. We've been pretty poor, especially at home, for over a year now so ST sales are way down, and a few things may also affect non- ST holder sales (increased prices, general negativity). Hopefully will pick up .

Blimey, the negativity is huge on this forum. This is a game we would have lost by at least 2 goals under DC's management - the play might have been prettier to watch, but that's all. The positives - Hare, Davies, NICHOLLS - (did nobody notice how many times he held the ball up, how many free kicks we got because Wycombe's only answer was to foul him.) Agogo dealt with the Wycombe midfield effectively - he's there to defend and that's what he did. Negatives - Jaakola looks a bit shaky, perhaps lost his nerve a bit after the error at Blackpool, but made a couple of decent saves. Ollie hasn't yet reached his top form, Sercombe likewise. All in all, I thought the team did OK in dreadful conditions against a team with only one tactic. There was never a consistency about where any high balls would land due to the wind and our best spell was toward the end of the first half when we kept the ball on the ground for 10 minutes or so. I'm reasonably sure that even without further signings we will finish mid-table, maybe higher if we get lucky with more signings. Perhaps the snake might fancy a loan spell with us! gc is that you? If your happy with that your bonkers,if they carry playing like that the crowds will dwindle to 6k

Not really shocked by much today.
Having to replace the outgoings whilst also having his budget cut was always going to lead to a disjointed squad which is what we have.
Defence was solid whilst unspectacular. We've seen 'The Beast' run our defence ragged many times over the years and Craig alongside Davies managed to keep him quiet all afternoon.
Tough to describe the midfield. Ed Upson broke up attacks, won us free kicks and kept us ticking over. Ogogo buzzed around the midfield like usual. Was surprised to see Sercombe actually put in some tackles too today. Ollie Clarke continues to be what Ollie Clarke is which is wildly inconsistent. This is the area of the team that still needs investment.
Tom Nichols and Victor both tried their best with the limited service. The issue is that neither of them is particularly big and so are going to get pushed about by league one centre backs. JCH still looks a few weeks away from being back to full fitness but I fear that he will be rushed back to offer us any type of goal threat.
Think we'll be keeping an eye out on Wycombe results come the end of the season. Probably one of the teams that will be fighting us to avoid being in the bottom 4.

Thats my point.I would rather us finish 14th on 58pts in May and attack teams home and away regardless of us missing out on players this summer, then finish 12th on 61pts playing this way. Just have a go ffs.Not hard! Bring back DC's way of playing from 3 years ago and before. Really? Would you also rather see us finish 7th playing bold attacking football than 6th playing a tough no-nonsense rarely lose approach? Why can't you play bold attacking football and finish 6th? Don't get me wrong, I stick by my pre-season prediction of 19th, but I don't get this view that playing attractive football means you can't win games. Makes no sense!

Me too, but what do we play in when we play a side who play in blue...?

Not the best game and very little to cheer. I liked the look of Davies and thought Craig was class. Hey ho a points a point and I would settle now for staying up this season and build for the future.

Wine thing made me smile driving to the ground today. there was a report on The Sh1ts match at Brum, and the new striker was named. the Snake wasn't even on the bench. Apparently a loan move to another Champ club fell through and the little twats been given a few days off to get his head around it.
Just realised, have you, you poisonous little dwarf that there's no place for you at Trashton and that you were only ever bought to damage us?
I hope you don't get a move this season and you're left to rot in the reserves. Teach you to connive with that Rosy-Cheeked megalomaniac against the club that gave you a chance when you had drifted into obscurity.
