Not read all the posts but I’m having my say, we scored 4 goals today but yet again no Nichols on the score sheet. Really think it’s time we got rid and get someone else in who scores goals. He’s had to many chances and his time is up. Yep. We won yet another match with ten men. |

He’s had to many chances and his time is up. I have to disagree. Tom Nichols was one of the few who could come off at half time and look himself in the mirror. Then in the second half, his understanding with jch and ability to work the ball provided loads of options. At half time I would have taken JCH off because he had been anonymous in the first half. |

Sorry but whilst Nichols couldn’t score once more today he had a great game and got a smidgeon if a song out of the thatchers end. Some beautiful crosses from Tom. His only problem is being considered a striker as whilst he doesn’t offer goals he can bring players into the game

A great result today made especially sweet after the first half performance.
We were one of only 2 sides in the top half to win today and the only team to win our last 3 games on the trot. Who knows where this might lead!
Thanks again to Alfie Kilgour for further increasing my bank balance via William Hill at handsome odds!

I think the next 2 league games will determine how good we can be. Ipswich and Peterborough won’t be easy.

Competed fiercely in the 2nd half and tactically went very direct instead of centre-backs passing to each other. Looking back on the 1st half comments on here after coming home from watching the actual game its as if several posters have just started watching football for the 1st time in their lives. One bloke said "game over" at 2-0 down! That was me. Obviously I'm delighted we came back but at the time we were 2-0 down and lucky it wasn't 5 or 6 at HT. Easy to come on here and offer out humble pie after the event. We were dire in the 1st half its true but we still had a chance. It wasn't only you but anyway the 2nd half was great. |

The 2nd half showed us that direct football can be good to watch.
Too often under GC we get very static and predictable but defend well.
When the team get the bit between their teeth and get after opponents we can be a really tough team to play against as well as being exciting going forward.

The contrast in performance from first to second half can be explained. There was no Churchillian speech from GC - he simply threatened to cancel the players Xmas party tonight and make them come in for training Sunday morning. He should go into to motivational speaking when he retires from football ! I hope they have a good night in Chasers and behave themselves. Apparently going to Park Street after and meeting up with Pipey. |

I don’t know how to put it up on here but I’ve been looking at the form tables and we’ve picked up more points from the last 12 games than Ipswich who have been top two all season.
Coggers is working miracles with this side in a similar way to the way Gerry Francis did for us last in the late 80s early 90s.
There’s a long way to go but we’re in very good hands, i was totally for him getting the job after the 4 games as caretaker and felt pretty sure he’d keep us up but he’s surpassed even my expectations for this season so far and I’ve always been a big fan from day 1.
Yes most of the time it is tough and organised football , playing to our strengths and yes we haven’t got a classy playmaker but good football is winning football.
Tough one next weekend.

I'm not suggesting he is doing well, but he can be useful at times and is certainly not deserving of the taunts shouted at him. He has his role. It can't go on like this for much longer, but if he helps JCH to get a goal a game, then keep selecting him. |

Worst performance so far from us under Cogs. He needed to change it after the first goal, didn’t , the second was obviously coming , and then still nothing after the second. We’re still in it at 0-2 but needs a big second half from everyone. Boom !! We got it. Good shout that mate 👍 |
