Never underestimate your opponent, big mistake we have often made before in cup games. Am i the only one who put money on stevenage? They've got Wesley back and he's organised them well. I'd have done the same.

. They've had a break now then have they?? No we have still been playing twice a week. So how would they be less tired?? Well last night for example, we played a lot of players who haven't played in all these games. Go on say it, we lost because they're rusty. We needn't bother turning up against Donny and Coventry and whoever we have got that following Saturday, based on your logic. Maybe all the players should worry about putting their feet up for a few weeks instead of trying to play football. Don't want the tiring themselves out more Do we. Keep on happy clapping though... Player's who are not good enough and were having their final chance?? Or player's that don't know the squad yet?? It was the right game to try them. Upson had to get sent off to have a rest lol. On Saturday we will have no Upson as well as Ogogo and OC (unless any are fit). The player's that did play last night, will have less than 72 hours between games. even though it takes longer than that to fully recover. Doncaster played on Tuesday, but they had the weekend off. Anyone who knows anything about sports science, will understand that that's a big advantage.

But if we were playing players with their last chance and not good enough, then surely we will be playing our players who are good enough vs Donny? Anyway, clearly I am clueless. Would love to know how we went up from league 2 all those years ago though when we had all those games left to play at the end of the season that we kept winning, with all the Cup matches in between. Must have been some miracle that.

Must have been some miracle that. We didn't play as many games then, there was no group games and we did not have 3 fa cup replays that season! Our good league run started after the final, after we finished playing the mid week games. So goes against what you are implying! Our last good performance was at Ipswich, that was the last time we had no midweek game before the weekend match. Since then it's been game after game. 31/20 is great odds on Doncaster on Saturday. Atleast JCH, Rodman and Leary got a rest. The player's that played, will have less than 72 hours between games. Not long enough to fully recover. It's been a ridiculous run, due to drawing at home to Plymouth and Bromley. Those 2 extra games, plus the Orient trophy game and the Christmas period.

Everyone has a lot of fixtures this time of year

Everyone has a lot of fixtures this time of year Not every club. Doncaster had the weekend off, as did some other league 1 clubs. We have less than 72 hours between last night's game and Saturday's, because we played Sunday then Wednesday. That's not long enough to fully recover. Not every club was still in the trophy. Stevenage might be, but they are on a bad run as well. One game, over a busy period, makes a big difference. Plus we had the Bromley replay not long before that, which was another extra game. I agree it's a busy period anyway. So 5 FA cup games already and the 2 extra trophy games are not going to help matters. That's an extra 6 games than some clubs, over a period that is already busy. If sport scientists stop the drop in performance and risk of injury, then why are premier League managers moaning?? They have better facilities than us. Bigger squads etc.

We have more league & cup games than most yet they're the ones so hard done by..

We have more league & cup games than most yet they're the ones so hard done by.. We should have won last night, I was talking about our run of games in general. Can't remember having 3 FA cup replays in a row before. You can see player's are tired. At Fleetwood a few were struggling to move at the end. That's one of the reasons we have picked up more injuries. I'm glad we went out. Don't like the trophy anyway. It would have meant a game in 2 week's time of we won. Already got the FA cup replay next week, then Bolton midweek the week after. Atleast we have one free mid week now! Our last good performance was against Ipswich. That was the last time, we had no mid week game before. I'm not saying Garner will be a good manager. I don't know either way. But until he gets a chance to work with the player's, we won't know. At the moment it's just been about recovery.

I think a reality check is needed here. Last nights game was in the Mickey Mouse cup that NO-ONE cares about. It was an opportunity to try new or younger players. The manager still hasn't had much of a chance to impose his style of play, we are punching above our weight being this high up in the league so all I am looking for this season is mid to top half of the table.

Doesn't this interviewer have a microphone? He does it every time. Can't hear a word he's saying while the interviewee is coming over loud and clear. I've got to raise and lower the volume all the time!

Although I hate the way this competition has changed, the players are paid to care about it, and most of them didn't show that they cared last night.
I agree we were punching above our weight in L1, but this was a shambles against a team that is fighting relegation to the conference

It may be considered a Micky Mouse cup but we should be beating Stevenage every time, especially at home. In addition, a win would have helped the manager's self confidence. Five games without a win and a tough fixture to follow - not a great start.
