I have a question that perhaps Officer B can help with. I'm intrigued as to how the Armed Forces have fared with Covid, infection rates, deaths etc.,bearing in mind they live in close proximity. Two things Would the government report it and given the age of armed forces (in general)?

Regarding the latter yep I thought that would have an impact however, there still a lot of folk under 30 that get it,as for the former I'm sure the dear old Beeb would have ferretted it out 😊

Leicester back into lockdown. Will this act as a deterrent to all the idiots around the country who have selfishly been having street parties, gathering in huge numbers at beaches, celebrating football and protesting? Will this make people realise the situation is still very real? Has any of that been happening in Leicester? Or is it to do with proximity in relatively poor housing conditions, a higher than average concentration of areas of social deprivation? Just asking because last time I looked Leicester was nowhere near a beach, it's football team had won nothing and there was no evidence of alcohol infused street parties. Wass fink Eric? I’m aware of all that. I’m thinking of the wider message. People across the country have been acting like this is all over and this may jolt some into understanding that if they keeping acting irresponsibly then lockdown measures can be reinstated or areas held back.

Tbf here Oldie, unless I’ve misunderstood Eric, I believe he was saying that the Leicester lockdown may consider other areas to think twice before breaking lockdown rules? Although I doubt they will think twice, if can get on a plane, I can’t see people reconsidering going to the beach.
Tbf to the government, I’m glad they did it. I wasn’t actually sure they would. I felt like Boris has too much of a need to be liked. So credit where it’s due.
Where they have seemed to have cocked up though is the communication. Just listening to 5Live now, apparently Leicester council and the MPs are complaining there isn’t clear guidelines on what’s actually happening, especially for those in the outskirts.
The main thing though is that we know the government is willing to place local areas in lockdown.

I'm sure the fact it's a Labour area and Jonanthon Ashworth's constituency is purely coincidental.
(Said in jest as he is supportive)

Fair shout Eric. Like others I doubt it. The genie is out of the bottle I think. I think to many people have lost faith, to many mishaps, to many mistakes and the loss of moral authority after the Cummings affair. I am not saying that is right.

Yes indeed. This came out after PMQs today. More rank amateurism from the Government

Aha! I recall I raised this with nobby. He tried to make out it was poor work by NHS procurers but, as I suspected all along, not enough beaks were getting wet. This is why I really doubt Boris will do anything positive because as we can see the Tories are still same old Tory behind the scenes. Self-interest over the greater good every single time. Beyond venal.

So the list of exempt countries comes out today.
Anyone planning to go on holiday abroad this summer?
We'll be going to Croatia if we can, but not sure whether we'll drive or fly yet
