This Corona virus was obviously invented by women. Why?
The pubs are shut. No sport. You have to stay at home and do those 'odd jobs' around the house/garden as is being discussed. They even had the audacity to name the virus after a beer, which they obviously thought was funny. And it's a Flu, which they know is pure Kryptonite to men!

Just seen in news the retrospective test may be coming after all. That would be good. Essential for NHS staff

We have used a bread maker for years and agree the taste and smell is lovely. We also make our own soups on occasions. Because we are always likely to be called to hospital we try and keep 1-2 weeks worth of groceries in the cupboards anyway. My wife has visions me doing the garden at the moment which needs some tlc after the winter. Funny you saying that. I’m looking forward to doing that. Not really self-isolating but staying in more and doing a lot of gardening. Good way to stay fit, do something you enjoy (if you do!) and get some brownie points!! I am still waiting for the water table to recede before I can get to my garden🧐

I`ve got a couple of packets of Rizlas, if anyone`s really desperate. New or used? It'll make a big difference on the price. I didn`t ask the bloke I bought them from. And he didn`t ask the bloke he bought them from. And.....

It was 3:45 in my day. Part-timers! No no no. You misunderstand, Eric. They`re not just closing for the afternoon. They`re closing until everything`s been made better.

There`s a hedge at the bottom of our garden, that`s needed hacking back for a couple of years now. And now it`s done. Took me a couple of hours, but all chopped up and residue in green recycling bin. Most satisfying.

So we are recovering now but for the last week we have been quite unwell and I'm tempted to suggest that it could well have been COVID19. Was a bit rough, I was the least affected but son and wife were poorly. Hopefully coming to the end of it now if it even was that. Whatever it was you had,I hope you and the family are feeling better. I have to report back into the secondary office tomorrow! The guy who was suspected of having the virus has tested negative, so we are being called back in. Seems a bit of a strange decision as once we had been sent home and we've got everything working you would have thought that we should just carry on doing that ! The other crazy thing is that my company are making a fortune during this crisis! So what your saying is fritz ,has been buying up all the bog roll and selling it on at a profit, damn bosch

I managed to get a large packet of loo rolls today, happy to share where I can. I despise profiteering so they will be 1 per person at cost price, plus £25.00 p&p 😎 I have some environmentally friendly recycled bog roll for sale, erm stuff have it fer free it has a trump image on at least every other sheet ,some sheets have a dot to dot pattern, unfortunanely it is off the rooland can be collected in a carrier bag

What does someone more knowledagble than me think will happen with house prices? Direct Line Standard Variable Rate Mortgage 1.75% That's lower the CPI, RPI and much lower than house price inflation. IF, the big IF, we get through this within 6 months, I can see a bit of a bubble occuring

I am still waiting for the water table to recede before I can get to my garden🧐 As the crow flies we are within a few hundred yards of Poole Harbour so half our garden has been under water for some of the winter. I’m amazed so much has survived but with a bit of sun it does go down. Not a problem usually and it’s a lovely spot. But it will be a few weeks before a grass cut.

In response to Innee I have a condition whereby i have to force my muscles to work , or else i tend to seize up. I would normally visit the gym 3/4 times a week , but its a catch 22 by the way of leaving myself open to picking up the virus

Some interesting info today. They think the severity is related to the dose (or exposure). This would explain why of the younger people dying in Asia a disproportionately higher number of them are healthcare workers. So personal infection control measures are useful even if ultimately they fail. It also highlights the importance of self isolation within a household as the family risk higher exposure.
10% mortality in over 70s which we suspected .
Kids without immunocompromise dont tend get the pneumonia but can spread it very easily which again we knew.
