Not really missing the pub to go drinking (although I do enjoy that) but I am missing having a chat and a laugh with the other regulars and staff. Not had a conversation with someone other than my Father in a month. That's the struggle. If you go to the park and start conversations with people you'll probably be labelled the local nutter, everyone is in a rush to be somewhere. At the pub or footy you can freely find anyone to chat about any old sh1te (if you wanted too). Not much to replace that ATM. What's odd is that I actually prefer my own company to others and when I'm in the pub get annoyed at when people want to join me for a beer. Can't please some people.

I got a positive test for C19 a few hours ago after taking a test yesterday evening. 3 days ago I developed a dry cough which is almost gone now, but yesterday I went for a walk over Ashton court with my GF and started to feel drained and developed a fever and body aches.. She lives at the top of park street so got at test at the centre near her.Got it 45mins after booking it. Got the result tonight and I'm positive. I feel 85% my normal self. Still got alittle cough, My temp was over 38c at 4am this morning but now about 35c. Got aches and pains in my body, and chills and sweats. But Im normal apart from that. I was meant to work today but rang in due to fever, off now for 10- 14 days. Anyone else had it...Got any advice.. Just thought I'd enquire how your feeling now. Hopefully your past the worse of it and are well kn the road to recovery. Take care.

Temperatures have gone for 3 of them, but my brother has a temp of around 39 & is having stomach issues, although he seems about 3 days behind everyone else. Fingers crossed we're slowly exiting it, although brother seems to be at the peak. I have to admit though, I'm surprised that my younger siblings got quite ill. I thought/hoped they'd have been asymptomatic. What I find interesting is that track & trace are now saying to my mum she can go back out again, despite feeling ill. Apparently if its 10 days after the test and your temperature has gone, then you're not spreading - even if you have a cough. Which I'm finding exceptionally difficult to believe?

Mind you, I haven't seen any scientists debating it tbf - it just doesn't seem right?

Me too. I suspect that actually we don't really know for sure and so they are not committing to further criteria based on that and the fact that the 10 day rule would probably be ok for the majority. Viral contagious periods are so variable though. Normally we would say 10 days from onset AND symptom free (sometimes even symptom free for 3 days) but you don't hear anyone talking about it much in the UK I agree. I think elsewhere that is the criteria though and they make the end of symptoms more of a focus. There were small scale studies done early in China showing that the virus was still detectable in a third of patients at day 20 even but these were small scale as I say. It doesn't necessarily mean they are contagious either. My advice, symptom free for 3 days and 10 days from the start. Just to be safe.
