You've waited 10 minutes and you've lost 1108 places? Yup! 30 mins later though and I’m booking in for the weekend 🥳 Excellent, great news chap.

I’m abit worried about going down Trashton to get the vaccine, is the KFC firm still at large if I decide to go for a post-jab bargain bucket?

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-57413115The High Court has found the government acted unlawfully when it gave a contract worth £560,000 to a company run by friends of the prime minister's former chief adviser, Dominic Cummings. Ministers have denied any favouritism was shown towards the communications agency Public First. But the judge decided a failure to consider other firms meant there was "real danger" of bias. ————— And what will be done? Nothing.

However, in this instance, i have made a case for ignoring it myself!!

I see France has less positive covid tests than the UK . Not bad for a country that’s doing appallingly (according to some) compared to Boris Johnson’s UK 🇬🇧
Go Boris !

There was a lot of showing off a couple of months ago at how we were so far ahead of Europe with the vaccine. Now not only are they catching up but they are beginning to get more freedoms with everything opening up and travel allowed. Not too sure who has it better right now?

Clearly a dig at me there Yatton. I would have thought the fewer covid deaths was more important than number of positive covid tests. Can't remember the last time France recorded zero deaths recorded in a day or even single figures. But hey if you want to compare numbers, UK total tests 191 Million,France 87 Million, UK total cases 4.5 Million, France 5.7 Million. We were out with French friends the other night who work in hospitals. I asked them how they record here a covid death, I was basically told "someone who has died from Covid". When I told them how the UK records a covid death (someone who has died of "any" cause within 28 days of a positive test) they laughed and said if France did that the number of covid deaths would be doubled. Also due to their "human rights" there are nurses in the local hospital who flatley refuse the vaccine and some who refuse to be even tested. Our friends father who is in a nursing home recently caught covid (thankfully he is double jabbed so he wasn't severely ill) by a nurse coming in who has refused the vaccine and turned out to be covid positive. A vast number of people locally here are refusing the vaccine and are holding out for Sanofi to come out their vaccine. Good luck on that one!! But if you really think Macron has handled this well and better than the UK try telling that to the locals. Go Boris !!

I don't think any Government anywhere in the World should be declaring victory yet,it is evident that we are not out of this and an exercise in caution all the way round would be sensible, whilst we would all love to go on hols if we have to miss another Summer to consolidate our hard fought gains is that a train smash?. As for whose done better,no room for self congratulations anywhere from what I can see other than the odd exception, time to learn and be better prepared next time.
