It’s only natural, there have been so many stories of influencers coming out how they’ve been approached to spread misinformation, that this is the natural reaction to push back

"Epidemiologist says rapid tests are more accurate than we think
There's been plenty of conflicting data on how effective rapid coronavirus tests are, particularly among asymptomatic people.
But Michael Mina, an epidemiologist at Harvard Public Health/Medical School, has argued such tests are more effective than some people think."
He explains this is because they are often compared with PCR tests, which will still return positive tests even after people have stopped being infectious (a period of between three to seven days).

Also from Sky:
"France could ease health pass restrictions on large shopping centres
The country recently introduced a health pass which must be shown to enter many public spaces, including restaurants, bars, cinemas and tourism attractions.
It proves if a person is fully vaccinated, has a recent negative COVID test or was infected in the last six months.
However, the restrictions have had a negative impact on some businesses.
French retail group Auchan said the introduction in early August had hit its business at the start of the third quarter.
Labour minister Elisabeth Borne has now said France could ease the health pass restrictions on large shopping centres if the COVID situation keeps improving.
France's daily case rate has slowed and booster shots are expected to be given out early next year."

I have to admit being torn on the boosters v vaccinations for 12-15 year old v sending them overseas. "Ministers are optimistic that COVID-19 vaccines will be offered to all 12 to 15-year-olds despite advisers recommending against it, Sky News understands. The Joint Committee for Vaccination and Immunisation said on Friday that, while it would widen the programme to include more children in that age group with health conditions, it was not recommending the widespread vaccination of their healthy classmates. Government sources are however keen to offer vaccinations to all children in that age group - and think parents would find it reassuring." news.sky.com/story/covid-19-ministers-could-overrule-jcvi-and-push-ahead-with-vaccines-for-those-aged-between-12-and-15-12398722

Clearly weren’t that accurate when all 4 of my rapid tests came back negative right after my Covid symptoms started.. hasn’t been all that uncommon speaking to others I know

I’m currently in Vienna and it’s just seen as standard that vaccine proof is needed to get into bars etc. It basically allows a place to go maskless. People do have the option to get in via test as well, though.

My son's teacher had loads of negative tests leading up to returning to school, first PCR test came back positive.

Went there 15 years ago, would love to go back but not practical at the moment (not just Covid related).

Whilst I can maybe understand it going into bars and restaurants but to have to show your covid health pass to sit outside and have a drink on a terrace seems a step too far. The old Gendarmes check regularly at the bars/restaurants and hand out €5000 fines to owners flaunting the rules. We went to Clermont Ferrand last friday and no one checked a health pass when entering the shopping centre but sit out in fresh air to have a beer and the waiters check your pass. Seems nuts to me.

You are a miserable sod, do you ever post anything positive? Quite a few more like you addicted to the predictions of doom unfortunately. Cases have a 5 day delay on incidents fwiw as far as the euros are concerned Your last prediction on here a few weeks ago was that cases were going to drop wasn't it? His predictions went well . It’s all over , close the thread . 😬

Great city! Thanks, yes just a few days break. Beautiful city. Numbers will probably rocket yes. But cases now aren't the same as last year given the much lower death rates. Personally I hope the government holds their nerve and doesn't close anything (or bring back masks) again, now that everyone has had the opportunity to receive a vaccine.

I think it'll all depend on hospitalisations tbh. If the NHS gets overrun then we'll see lockdowns again, if they're ok - then we'll carry on. The issue/worry is the mixing of patients/patients getting Covid in hospital. We need to some how segregate this so the NHS can function 'normally'. Bit pie in the sky though

Just lock us down now ffs, I’ve had enough. I've thought about locking myself down recently, but that's because I've decided I don't really like other people.
