In 2010, the US National Academy of Sciences declared that, in the community setting, “face masks are not designed or certified to protect the wearer from exposure to respiratory hazards.” Well done for avoiding the question. How about this time you try to answer it? I have answered it. The study did show that cloth face masks reduced indoor aerosols by only 10% and surgical masks only 12% and not enough to prevent infections, both mask types are what the vast majority of people I see are wearing. Then we have the other 5 studies that showed they have little or no benefit and in some cases do more harm than good - 2015 study in the British Medical Journal BMJ Open found that cloth masks were penetrated by 97% of particles and may increase infection risk by retaining moisture or repeated use. Not to mention what the US National Academy of Sciences said.

You skipped over the part of face mask study. I filled in what you missed so again you are being misleading. The dodgy doctors was tweeting some other sh**e that you liked. You literally quoted his tweet. I looked him up. So another lie. The "dodgy doctor" as you call him, shared the exact same article above that I've again provided, although I will admit I was actually mistaken and the accompanying quote: “It is dystopian for the government to give Pfizer billions, mandate Americans to take its product, prohibit Americans from suing for harm, but yet refuse to let Americans see the data underlying its licensure”, was actually from Aaron Siri, US attorney acting on behalf of PHMPT, the plaintiff. The "dodgy doctor" was merely sharing the article and highlighting the quote. Thanks. For me, the fact that the doctor shared it is enough for me to decide its bollocks. He has zero credibility.

The public health professionals, medical professionals, scientists, and journalists who filed the Freedom of Information Act Request and sued the FDA are certainly credible and the FDA have certainly tried to suppress that information for 75 years, so not "bollocks". We are talking the likes of esteemed professionals such as Paul E. Alexander, PhD (Former WHO-PAHO and US Health and Human Services (HHS) evidence-synthesis consultant/senior COVID Pandemic advisor), Anthony J. Brookes, PhD (Professor of Genetics, University of Leicester), Tom Jefferson, MD MRCGP FFPHM (Senior Associate Tutor, University of Oxford), Barbara Mintzes, BA, MSc, PhD (Associate Professor, School of Pharmacy, The University of Sydney) and Robert J. Cihak, MD (Former President, Association of American Physicians and Surgeons) amongst many others. Read it for yourself: phmpt.org/

Not to mention what the US National Academy of Sciences said. You haven’t actually read the article apart from the abstract, have you? It’s showing that the low effectiveness of surgical masks comes from people not wearing them correctly and leaving gaps. When applied correctly surgical masks are 47% effective. KN/R95 masks are 95% effective when work properly. Education is needed to ensure people wear them correctly, but it is quite literally a fact that masks reduce transmission. Even at the lowest end worn incorrectly, 12% has saved thousands of British lives. You can’t even deny this. To do so is like denying the existence of oxygen.

What annoys me with statements like this, is the complete lack of detail. Were they vaccinated? How long did they stay in Hospital for, 20 minutes for a check up? Hours, days, all on ventilators? How many of them are on the serious list? Any with underlying health issues? Must be thousands of admissions to Hospital every day that can be bound together to make a disturbing head line.

Don't worry Bags, everything you read on twitter is definitely true.

Morning Bags 😁 The post was to highlight the fact that record numbers of kids had been to hospital with covid . That in it self should be concerning don’t you think ? No idea on who’s been vaccinated but hardly any under 12’s because they not been offered it as far as I’m aware . 12-17 yr olds may have had 1 jab but at a guess I’d say no more than 50% ? Sorry if this annoys you , do your own research 😉😂

You can’t even deny this. To do so is like denying the existence of oxygen. You've no real evidence to back up that fact that cutting just 10% of COVID particles has saved thousands of lives? I can see the logic of using masks on enclosed places like public transport but less so in supermarkets etc.

A shocking stat for the anti vaxers: Figures from the Intensive Care National Audit and Research Centre (ICNARC), show that between May and November the rate of admission for double-jabbed Covid sufferers in their 60s was just 0.6 cases per 100,000 people per week. But ICNARC numbers, which covers units in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, show that amongst people of the same age who are unvaccinated, the rate was 37.3 per 100,000 per week – equating to a relative risk about 60 times higher. www.thesun.co.uk/health/17145509/anti-vaxxers-covid-more-likely-intensive-care-wards/
