They won’t resume at all if that’s the case then. Clubs would go to the wall left right and centre.
A lot of clubs will be in the same position as one-another so expect the government, FA etc. to take that into consideration and adopt special measures. It could also be a good opportunity to change the football seasons so that they run during the summer months and break for the winter instead. That will save clubs money in the future.
This season is over. It seems likely next season will start after the January 2022 transfer window.
How so? Why that long? 2022....almost 2 years? Not a chance. The premiership and EFL will continute in 3 weeks even if played behind closed doors.

Imagine a lot of amateur and part time players are not especially keen to play football at the moment. To some it might seem trivial playing football for fun during an escalating crisis. Even in the somerset county league shirehampton play at watchet or chard, lots of question marks about raising a team and getting refs etc.

Sorry, I mean next season won't start until 2021.
This season is over. "FA chairman Greg Clarke has reportedly told the Premier League that he does not believe the domestic season can be completed because of the coronavirus pandemic."

You do realise it's not only fans which are the issue but also players etc going down with CV/having to self quarantine, assuming we're 2 months behind Italy then there won't be another league game played for months. I sense this whole season will have to be voided and then re-played next season with which ever club's make though to the otherside. If we do lose the likes of Southend then I assume they won't be replaced as if they are then that'll cause even more issues. Looking at the bigger picture you do wonder now why National League sides are still playing today as they also haven't any chance of finishing their own seasons.

If this football season is voided which seems increasingly likely, that will mean BG’s losses wiped from the record. He gets to start again with a clean sheet but a bit of experience!

Realistically it seems the PL and FL are unlikely to resume matches until 2022. They’ll be no EFL clubs left by then

Imagine if we’d sacked Garner after Southend and gone into this unstable period managerless!

I was dismissive of Coronavirus originally but now it does worry me and is depressing, to the point where I went out and bought quite a few things at home just in case. Never thought I'd get to that stage. Stay safe everyone.
