If you were Tranmere fan and fighting the drop or a Sunderland fan and out of the playoffs on goal difference, would you still think that’s fair? No I certainly wouldn't, but at the same time this issue is far more important than football, and we need to consider making sensible sacrifices. I'd sooner have the season played out as draws than void the season entirely. Agreed fighting the Coronavirus is far more important than finishing the season. Still I don’t think any action the EFL take can particularly be called fair. Have just read Darragh MacAnthony say that if the season is declared void, there could be legal action taken. So there’s that.

We can delay in to May and June if required - it’s not as if most League One and Two players will be off the the European Championships etc. The football calendar for top flight football will be far more difficult to manage though.

Postpone the games rather than cancel them. If it means postponing the start of next season, so be it.

Postpone the games rather than cancel them. If it means postponing the start of next season, so be it. I agree. The bigger issue is that we some how think this will be over in 3 weeks. It will not. So in 3 weeks, will clubs be playing fixtures behind closed doors, or will they finish/end the season? If it's cancelled, this will just come back around again

They say an announcement is due around 11am.18 mins ago That’s pretty much the end of the season then (some may say that was in January), that’s only 3 weeks and things are going to be a lot worse by then. Goodnight Irene season 2019 / 2020.
