Agree with a lot of those names on that release list but seeing Craig and Sercombe depart is disappointing.
Craig is one of the most passionate players I’ve ever seen for Rovers. Every time he scored or made a crucial tackle, he’d let his feelings known. Always put in a good shift, top bloke.
Sercs helped us firmly establish ourselves in L1 and has come up with some really important goals and assists over the years, especially in his first season.
All the best to them and all the others that have been released this summer wherever they end up next.

Sad to see Tony leave. Legend in my eyes even if it was just a short spell.

Surprised we're still trying to convince OC to stay when we've already got Upson and Ogogo when we desperately need a more creative CM.
Let's just hope Davies is fully fit all next season as we're lacking experience in central defence if we don't sign a replacement for Craig.

Ollie Clarke will be relieved i would imagine, pending agreement of deal of course. We should try and renegotiate season loans for Blackman, Ginnelly and ML i think. Didnt see enough of Timmy. You'd want ANOTHER GK (Blackman) to go with anssi, JVS, alexis and potentially Armstrong (negotiating) 5 keepers?? Anssi is first choice so chelsea wouldn't allow Blackman to come on a season long loan to warm the bench... Jesus wept

Pity we're stuck with Little and Bennett. Both probably on decent wages and for various reasons never play.
Also sorry to see Sercs and Craig move on. Sercs was our most naturally gifted midfielder and I'd have liked to see Craig given a player coach role.
I'm on the fence regarding Clarke. I think we're right to offer him a deal but it should be for a fringe player not a captain.
Other than that, much as expected.

We 'managed' stefan Payne out of the club last season and I don't remember too many complaints. Sometimes you've just got to do what you can to cut adrift deadwood like kyle bennett. Football is a business after all.. I'm sure that 'Team morale' would be more hindered by having a player on such a reportedly inflated wage, sat in the stands while his team mates on far less scrap it out on the pitch next season. That would really cause resentment.. Imagine this comparison then.. Where you work, one of your colleagues who is on double what you are on, spends all day chatting on the phone, leaves half an hour early all of the time and goes sick at the drop of a hat. Management take sanctions against that individual including suspending them and giving them mundane tasks to do in the Hooe they will find another job and be a financial dead Weight on someone else. As a colleague, would that unnerve and upset you? I doubt it.. Morale would be more affected if they stayed.. Never underestimate the discontent that a player who is paid a huge wage and gives little back, can have on a dressing room. So how are you going to force a player out who knows if he leaves voluntary then he'd lose around £2.5K a week even pre CV19? I just said how I'd do it... Make his life miserable, make him train with the kids etc.. Even fergie forced Roy Keane out this way, excluding him from training matches and social functions etc.. Watch the 'when Saturday comes' podcast with Keane and Gary neville recorded in Ireland.

Probably hoping we can negotiate a good deal, as he's from Bristol. Plus with Sercombe gone, we well hopefully replace him with a creative midfielder, if we have any budget left. Shame a lot of player's are still under contract. Don't think a lot of them are suited to Garner's style. We normally max out SCMP, but that is going to be a lot less next season, unless we sell JCH to cover the losses from the virus.

Exactly Walsh did wonders for Coventry and a lot of clubs seem to have loan player's, who improve them. No harm on using loan player's, if they improve the squad.

After the release of nichols, Little is on my 'to hate on' list as well now.. Unless he plays 40 games next season and actually proves his worth... Although he has played for the 'teds' so do I boo him every match??

Although he has played for the 'teds' so do I boo him every match?? I may be naive here, but why have a 'to hate list' and why boo? The booing thing was a joke in relation to the matty taylor thread where a lot of people hated in him cos he played for them.. The hate list was also a joke in relation to how certain players like Bennett get it in the neck all the time (I'm guilty as charged btw) and now disliked players like nichols have gone, Little appeared to come in for some criticism to replace him.. It was just an observational thing really..

Sad to see TC go … Would have been a good voice in the dressing room and a guide to the defensive team in training.
How Ollie Clarke hasn't been released is beyond me … fingers crossed he wont take a drop in pay ( surely that's what we are insisting) and will move on.
