As things stand, It will be Barnsley, Hull and Wigan joining us in L1. Albeit Sheff Weds could be getting a possible points deduction.
Final games on Weds.

Hull & Barnsley down, Luton need to beat Blackburn in final game to avoid relegation , then either boro, charlton or brum could go down depending on their results (wigan points deduction unknown at the moment)

I don't really get the Wigan points deduction. Why didn't they just deduct the points straight away?
If they stay up, they'll deduct them, which means they'll stay up anyway, and if they would of got relegated they'll deduct them next season. That's right isn't it?

Charlton far from safe, Leeds away last game, could well see Locks back at Mem next season!

Just looked at the league table and it seems with Wigan’s 12 point deduction the current bottom 3 are Barnsley, Hull and Wigan.
On the one hand that’s got to be the least uninspiring set of teams to get relegated, but having said that, all those teams are in free fall off the pitch With terrible owners and I reckon we could finish above all of them next season.

If they stay up, they'll deduct them, which means they'll stay up anyway, and if they would of got relegated they'll deduct them next season. That's right isn't it? I "think" the idea was that if they got relegated anyway, with or without the deduction, then the deduction would apply next season, but if they finish 21st or higher, it would apply this season. Their only chance of escaping the punishment was to gain enough points this season to ensure the deduction would be meaningless anyway. I for one will be hoping they win their last game and stay up in spite of the imminent points deduction. Their new owners are apparently fraudsters, and deserve their comeuppance, while the EFL show time and time again that they're not fit to carry out their own "fit and proper" persons test.

Since Hull sold Grosicki and Bowen, they have been a total train wreck. On the one hand McCann had a tough job on his hands, but on the other their form has been so bad that I am shocked he's stayed in a job.

If Luton come down they will at least carry some impetus into the new season. They were dead and buried but have done well even before lockdown. With Nathan Jones I would expect Luton to put in a big challenge. Nathan Jones had obviously been gone too long but now he’s back. Charlton, I hope avoid coming down though it’s a good away trip for me. They will be up challenging. I’d fancy a trip to Hull, the ground not the town! But surely McCann won’t be there. UTG!

Selling 50+ goals and not replacing them will always end in disaster.

Huddersfield sack the Cowleys, strange as it seems they saved them from relegation, Statement from board indicates they already have a replacement lined up! there's gratitude for you!

The Cowley's were never really up to the job as the jump from L2 is massive, having had a season to get going it seems odd timing to sack them now. I wonder if Nigel Clough is lined up as their replacement?

Apparently Hull are woeful and a few I've read (on other forums) say they wouldn't expect them to challenge too much. PersonallyI disagree, but lets see.
So we have:
M'Boro - 14, 50 Birmingham -19, 50 Charlton -11, 48 --- Luton -29, 48 Barnsley -21, 46 Hull -27, 45
But I believe the 'real' table is
M'Boro - 14, 50 Birmingham -19, 50 Charlton -11, 48 Luton -29, 48 --- Wigan +1, 46 Barnsley -21, 46 Hull -27, 45
Final fixtures:
Birmingham Vs Derby (12th) Brentford (3rd) Vs Barnsley Cardiff (6th) Vs Hull Leeds (1st) Vs Charlton Luton Vs Blackburn (10th) Wednesday (16th) Vs M'Boro Wigan Vs Fulham (4th)
So assuming Wigan's deduction makes Birmingham & Boro safe, the set of fixtures are ridiculously tough. Hull are surely down, I fancy Luton to get at least a point, if not a win. The rest could really go any way. Barnsley will fight to the death, as will Brentford but they choked the other day. Charlton fighting for their lives against a partying Leeds? Wigan with incredible form, but against a great side in Fulham.

I wonder if Nigel Clough is lined up as their replacement? Yes the jump is huge and I’ve never quite seen them as being as good as others have said. Really good at Braintree and Lincoln and let’s face it Huddersfield were a basket case when they took over and were dropping like a stone. They’ve stopped that and should have kept their Championship place so I feel they’ve been badly treated by the sack. It won’t be said but I would think their direct style was not too popular with the owners perhaps. Sure they’ll get another club soon. UTG!
