Take the contract off the table for a striker who’s scored 24 goals in 42 games just because he looks a little bit unfit in the second game of pre season? Ok then. Yeah been at Rovers for 2 seasons both seeing him score one in two games averages. Let's not even consider the covid situation were players left to their own devices with no gyms or pools open and at times even parks closed. Maybe some people need others around them to motivate them and dont do well left to themselves. Hey ,let's just turn on him ...during the pre season and friendlies season....the time when players will be working on getting their game and lives back to "normal" Oh come on! He's a professional footballer FFS. Many people are capable of working out at home. Especially if you're a professional sportsman. Yes he's a talented player and he's done a good job for us but f**k me some of the excuses are laughable. It's inexcusable, end of.

He always looked a bit like that, even when he was banging the goals in for us. Walks with a bit of limp, agree he wasn’t his best today though. Apparently has strapping on left thigh.... get rid Is that the new Rovers policy "get rid" of any player who picks up a minor tweak in pre-season? I assume Johan will be transfer listed on Monday given that he didn't even make the bench today?

Decent run out , didn’t notice any injuries and also another win so pretty good. I thought the trialist looked very comfortable on the ball , good range of passing and seemed to create that little bit of extra time on the ball for himself that good players seem to be able to do. Anyone know who he is ?

Got to say for as comfortable as Exeter looked on the ball, I can't remember them creating many clear cut chances.

Looks like they are playing on?
Stream has cut out but before it did you could clearly see the two teams lining up to play another 45.

What happened to BG playing 4-4-2? It seems he's reverted to GC's wing backs meaning if they have an off day we're back to creating very little plus we're totally relying upon JCH to lead the attack.

If we have any hope of being in the top 6 we must have a 20 goal striker
Not many about
If he left In my opinion we would really struggle next season.
Hopefully Garner can motivate him to sharpen up and fire in goals to propel himself if he has any ambition. Still nearly a month to get himself right physically and mentally. You sometimes get the impression with him he’s fighting his own demons. The club must do all it can to make him our striker at the start of the campaign, let’s hope he wants to stay. Good job there is no crowd if some of the comments on here about getting rid are indicative of the mood on the terraces!

We’ve got the wing backs to play it and JCH needs a strike partner , he usually looks pretty useless without one.

Looks like they are playing on? Stream has cut out but before it did you could clearly see the two teams lining up to play another 45. Just seen on Twitter that apparently it’s a training match, Kevin Maher is reffing and Jack Mesure is running the line.

Looked like a member of backroom staff was going to referee it. Wonder if it'll be part of the match report on the official site?

Hes injury prone overweight and looking to leave Let him go No point in keeping somebody who's lost their passion for the club

When I was an Amateur Boxer I used to keep myself fit and ticking over when the season ended. I wasn't a professional sportsman but I made sure I was ready when we reported back for training. I Boxed for Broad Plain, located just off the M32 in town. I'll cut JCH some slack tbh but I still think that he could have come back a little fitter if what I read is accurate. Just my opinion

Any idea who the trislist is ? Not 100% because it was from a distance, but warming up it looked a bit like Adam May. Thought the same but he looked a bit taller than I thought Adam May was. But thought he put in a good shift whoever he was.

We wanted to play for longer and agreed with Exeter, but the refs said no at the last minute. So I expect we decided to ref it ourselves 😂. It was the officials that didn't want to play for longer.

Absolutely pathetic that for a friendly match the referee throws the rules at you and stops them from p0laying the planned 130 minute match-obviously he didnt want to work overtime!!

What ever formation we play, if they have an off day, they create little. We are playing more of a 343 now, which can be now studying m attacking than 442. Did Garner every say we were going to play 442??? With the player's we have currently, it always looked like being a 343 formation.
