dont think anyone said the first three league games don't count ? Sure they did. We were not allowed to count last season. Or the cup games. Or the first 3 games because they were difficult. Just a few mistakes cost us Quite even game Just need that little bit of luck Just need more time to gel The ball was too round The grass was too green It’s hard without our fans Doncaster a very good side Ref was poor The wonder how many of the above he’ll throw up. Thought it was probably the best we have played today, Just shocking defending cost us. Created more and there were at least 3 chances where we should have done much better, could possibly have gone 3-2 up. I know reference here will be on the fact we are bottom, but if you look at the top Of the table we have played 3 of the top 4 and 2 of those games were away. Think next week will be a better indication of where we are as a team. Created more? We had ONE shot on target the whole game! One! I hate coming here after a match, its always with a sense of shame... today was an absolute travesty...
Garner has 7 more games I expect 5 wins from those seven, if not im on the Garner out band wagon no matter what results he gets

The ref bashing to be fair was really cringey even after he'd only recently joined us. DC and GC were a breath of fresh air not complaining about the refs. BG is unfortunately like most other managers in that respect. But doesn't it sum up how out of touch he is with lower league football, we all know most refs are poor, but over a season it should even itself out. Whilst Leahy was clearly pushed for the second we still conceded another 3, and it could have been 5 or 6 with better finishing. He's the new Buckle, a whiny git who's out of his depth. |

Pretty confident there are lots of posts (probably getting on for over a hundred) saying the first three games are write-offs anyway because Sunderland and Ipswich are too good for us and Doncaster are a bogey team. It would make sense if I'd just dreamt all those posts up though since it's such a completely deluded thing to say but no, sadly, I'm very very confident there are plenty of them. Forget last season, forget the friendlies, forget the cup games and forget the first three games. Fairly sure that was the jist. |

If you read the first 12 pages on this thread we are all saying how sh**e the ref was but Ben is not allowed to mention it? The 2 yellow that wasn’t given against Sunderland, the clear push on Leahy today which we all saw. Even the 3rd came as a result of a throw in that we were complaining about because the ref overruled his linesman. As the player if the ref has already made dodgy decisions against you things like the throw in can really grate and it meant the players were properly concentrating on the throw in. It’s a results business and these have been poor, but a though start and for the first half most posting in here said it’s was an improved performance. |

Think next week will be a better indication of where we are as a team. If you take those 3 pts away we gave them they wouldn't be in the top 3? God knows where you saw 3 chances, all we had apart from Leahy scoring was the Ehmer chance which seemed to sail miles over. Meanwhile Donny missed another 2 or 3 far easier chances. Why don't our strikers ever have any shots on target? |
