My prediction: if Northampton play to their potential we will lose. But I have a funny feeling that Northampton are not going to be up for it today and we’ll get one of Garner’s random wins thanks to an early goal and a couple of decent saves by jaakkola.

This is something that annoyed me back in Jan/Feb time when he said along the lines of, ‘we’re not going to change our style for quick and easy wins’. Why not?! Surely your job as manager is to win games? If he actually knows how to get quick and easy wins, why not just do that, build some confidence and build his vision slowly? This is exactly why I have the impression of him as a man who would play Fifa on the hardest setting and get spanked without first learning to win on easy mode. He could be offered Messi but would turn him down because he would make winning too easy or some such nonsense. I was about to say he needs a quick and easy win today but actually, does he? I suspect he is going to be given until the last rose-tinter has lost faith which could be most of the season. Your first paragraph 😂😂😂

Your first paragraph 😂😂😂 I think he would! 😂 That’s why I was interested in the story about the striker we turned down, considering we signed Hanlan who on paper doesn’t look to be an out and out goalscorer which is what we desperately needed.

I bet you'll be gutted if that does happen, are you tuning in later to watch?

Given we are getting progressively worse, I'm going for Rovers 0 v 7 Northampton

Given we are getting progressively worse, I'm going for Rovers 0 v 7 Northampton I clearly do not want that embarrassment to happen, but if it did, then BG would have to go - surely?

2-1 win today. My crowdie will run onto the pitch, and cock her leg against the goal post to celebrate the historic victory. Glad, I`m far from the madding crowdie.

I’ve got a positive feeling about today, don’t know why.
I just think we’re better than what we’ve shown so far with some of the players Garner has at his disposal and that Northampton at home is the first match on the fixture list that we’ll be fully able to show this.
It’s such an important game and I think both the players and management staff will know it.

Do you think the striker we were offered would have been an “out and out goal scorer”? They seem in very short supply so surprised anyone would be looking to offload one of those.

BG has to learn to abandon his principles sometimes and dig out a result. Principles are for those who can afford them, we can't ! This. 100%. This is what GC had down to a T. He knew we didn't look pretty, but it was all about getting the right results with the limited technical ability in the side.

And yet many said they wouldn't come and watch that style of play. Well this is where GC perhaps could have tried to gradually adapt our play over time, to make it more attractive, but I fully appreciated that we were winning. If it ain't broke don't fix it and all that. Ultimately no manager should have the luxury of being allowed to lose week in week out, just for the sake of stubbornly trying to implement a style that is not effective.

On GC's style I found it excruciating to watch on TV - the Plymouth cup game for example was hard going as all you see is us under pressure. Live though it wasn't any where near as bad imho. The Ipswich away win as an example for me was incredible as in the stadium you are part of that blood and guts performance. It clearly wasn't a style for us to play for ever, although you could argue it got Wycombe promoted last season (but they'll be straight back unless they can change).

Looking forward to seeing how Hare and Tutonda get on, have been asking for that wingback combination to start a game for a while, so I hope they do well.

What’s happened to Ayunga? He’s the only bloke that takes a shot at goal!

All joking aside, I have a funny feeling we'll get something today (before returning to losing ways next week).
I don't think it will be particularly deserved, but just a gut feeling we might get something.
We've got a great recent record against Northampton too.
