They are a work in progress and hardly the finished article but whilst they are working it out they are finding a way to win, which is the big difference from the second half of the season just gone. When it really does click I think we’ll be an enjoyable watch.

Sounded like a good win.
Clarke missed his chances, so did we but appeared to deserve the 3 points.
Well done us for a continued good run..

I wished BG would have have mentioned how bad the ref was tonight. When you only do it when you lose it looks like sour grapes but I thought he was shocking tonight. It seemed like he thought we were time wasting and so gave us no free kicks at all.

I've always had the opinion that League one refs are either not good enough to make the step up the pyramid, or weren't good enough and have been demoted. League two on the other hand is full of hungry up and coming referee whose next step is the Championship or Prem.

Thought we looked more dangerous when Nicholson and Oztumer replaced Daly and McCormick, they look class acts, with Oztumer actually able to keep possession of the ball in midfield. Tutonda also returned to form tonight, although somebody needs to teach him how to take a throw in! You dont think perhaps that was because their defenders were nackered and Nicholson and Oztumer were fresh. i am not having a go at the 2 Rovers guys but we have to accept that was why they looked better Seen plenty of substitutions that don't have a positive effect on the game.

I agree with the other comments about the ref, he stood and watched several fouls against us happen in front of him and let them go, almost as if he wanted Shrewsbury to score. Although BG didn't make specific reference in his interview I'm sure his report will reflect his views.

Does a different browser affect the ifollow app? Off the top of my head pirate, first instinct is to make sure your phone software is updated (apps, operating system), and go from there. If you get stuck today, drop me a PM in the week and I'll try send some advice. I don't use the App, but I'm a technologist by profession, so I might be able to offer some advice iFollow isn't functioning properly and needs to be sorted. Pointless getting in touch with them because they'll take a fortnight to reply with useless advice like checking your computer or broadband settings like you're an IT novice. I've used iFollow since it started and have never had a problem watching it on the app on my iPad and iPhone, or my computer from the Rovers website. I've always got the Rovers commentary home and away and been able to watch games on my TV through AirPlay. Now, I can't watch on the app because there's simply no clickable link, but can watch it on my iPad and iPhone using a browser. AirPlay is not available any more. The first couple of games of the season there was an option for choosing home or away commentary but that has disappeared. I now get home commentary for home games and away commentary for away games. I've tried several browsers and finally got lucky with Opera at halftime for the last away game so went with that last night and got our commentary on my iPad. During the halftime break it mysteriously switched to the Shrewsbury commentary with no option to switch back. #I'm rapidly becoming a robot#

Listened to this last night on the radio, first half didn't feel like anything special, in fact 5 minutes before half time felt as though we were going to draw at best, second half though, its going to sound strange but you could feel the passion in the players, It felt like they gave near everything and when the subs came on a whole new identity, I really rate Nicholson hes going to keep the defenders so busy. It felt like we deserved the win on the way we played second half. It hurts to loose, I cant read the news for at least 24 hours, but if we're going to lose let's lose the way we played that second half, every ball matters, dig deep, dont give up, I'd rather loose fighting than giving up.

I thought the ref was poor but our guys did throw themselves to the floor a few times to try to buy a foul and after that he gave us little or nothing.

When was the last time Jakkola was forced to make an actual “real” save? I can only recall once in the last 3 games. During the first half against Lincoln, a routine collection of the ball, down low following a cross from their left side. Teams may well be having a fair share of the ball, but in the final third we are limiting most sides to not very much at all in front of goal.

I was thinking the same, after a shaky start our defence is looking strong. Some good coaching there.

They should have won by 4 or 5 according to Ricketts Baffling from Ricketts as usual. Grant and Tutonda should have scored in the first half and Hanlon definitely should have wrapped it up late on, they had 2 for Clarke in the first half and the goal line clearance by Ehmer and was all they did in the second. I'd say a draw would have been pretty fair but I can't say for a second that we didn't deserve our win. As the second half went on they really didn't look like scoring and with the amount of sloppy passes their defenders kept making I thought out of the two teams we were more likely to add a second than them an equaliser. Great gritty performance and first class 'game management' from us there. Onwards and upwards! Yes, spot on summary. YTG!
